This is typically a fun place to go. They have some good drinks and fun ones too in pineapples and stuff. I wish the place was actually a little bit bigger because it can get really busy and really loud sometimes. The service CAN be subpar at times. Getting a bartender for a drink is a misssion sometimes. Food is good. Overall it's a fun place to go once in a while.

Nice relaxed Tiki environment. Very good selection of food that is tasty and accompanying the drinks well. The drinks are king here and they don't disappoint.

We were looking forward to visiting Tonga Hut. When we arrived, we loved the atmosphere and the host who sat us. Everything was going great until our negative server showed up. Everything we talked about he had a negative or sarcastic comment. We were going to LuLu's for dinner and he said he was sorry. Really?? Here we have reservations booked, looking forward to a great meal, and he says he is sorry! He was sarcastic when asked what drinks were the best. He offered no help with the menu and even criticized our appetizer of the wonton chips. Our drinks were amazing except the Pina Colada. This surprised us. It was quite bland. I'm not sure if we will visit Tonga Hut again but if we do and have the same server, we will request a different server.

Tonga hut is a real deal tiki bar, by far my favorite we visited on our Palm Springs trip. The food is so good and authentic, the atmosphere is fun and casual, a great place to bring friends, and the drinks are phenomenal. But the staff probably made the experience for me, Murph is great and runs a solid ship, but Nikole was the best, i trusted her with my drinks and I would trust her with my life. We loved this place so much we came back twice in one day and here I am still singing their praises days later. Will absolutely be back again, try the Kraken the Dole Whip if you’re craving something sweet!
Wheelchair accessibility: It is upstairs and I did not see any other access point so not wheelchair accessible

Great vibes and awesome atmosphere. Killer tiki-themed drinks and plenty of booze to go around. Friendly staff ensures you're quickly seated on busy nights. Karaoke on Wednesdays. Food is good and the drinks are better. Not exactly cheap, but not too expensive either. Excellent value for your night out.

Our waiter Daniel was terrific. Great service, great food. Great drinks. If we're in the Palm Springs area, we'll stop by again.

We had been to Tonga Hut many times before, so we decided to have a birthday party here for our best friend. We understood that the private room could only hold 12 people. We had more people show up than anticipated, so we were going to have the excess of guests be in the bar area. However, the manager was rude and made us feel very unwelcomed. We were easily going to drop a few grand here between all of us. We love to eat, drink, and have a great time. The manager sternly informed us that this establishment is only a bar after 10 pm, and everyone must sit in a seat. We tried to be understanding but the manager seemed to make every excuse not to accommodate us. As a business owner, I do not understand the behavior of this establishment. I will not be coming back. We felt uncomfortable with how we were treated, so we left and went to the Reef. The reef was amazing, extremely accommodating, and they turned our night around.

If you're coming here for the food or atmosphere, don't bother. Server was incredibly rude and impatient. Got snapped at for asking a question. Food was not great. Tiny menu. The reviews must be employees or friends. Not a good vibe, just terrible.

You must scan a QR code to view the menu. The place is pretty cool, props on the atmosphere. The food is good, although the portions are a little small. Pictured is the PuPu platter and Kahlua pork sliders. The cocktails are strong and the food is grilled to perfection. The atmosphere is great, again. Nailed the tropical island vibes.
Vegetarian options: May prove difficult.
Dietary restrictions: Ask staff for details, but dishes are labelled.
Parking: Not a lot of options.
Kid-friendliness: Good.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs to access the main place, I don't know if there is any alternative.

If you can, sit on the New Orleans style balcony. The secret party room is worth the hype, if it wasn't a quick business drink I would have paid to sit in there.
They do have a delicious mocktail menu, you just gotta ask for it.
Yummy!!

I go to Tonga Hut basically every time I'm in Palm Springs, always friendly, always fun. Great food and drinks, my favorite is the Poke. Nicely tucked away entrance makes it feel less touristy than the main drag and an excellent stop if you're a Tiki afficionado.
