The Tonga Hut Restaurant and Tiki Bar

This was my second visit to Tonga Hut. I was pretty surprised that we were able to walk right in and grab a table on a summer Sunday night.
We took advantage of the $11 Mai Thai Sunday special and ordered the pup platter for two and ahi tuna and wonton chips. Service was friendly and welcoming, but pretty slow. We were in no rush, so it was fine.
The food tastes great and the drinks were delicious.

The restaurant is fun and the tiki theme is on point.

Tight quarters. Warm atmosphere. Huge selection of games. Friendly wait staff. Drinks we all had were good but missing the flare.

Had a balcony table for a couple of hours watching the Thursday evening market . Fantastic lively event . The Tonga hut serves extremely strong cocktails , zombie and Margheritas . The service Daniel gave made it a memorable evening . I recommend a visit to The Tonga hut

Very nice staff, but drinks were overpriced, overrated, and under-alcoholed. 2 drinks = $42

Daniel is an awesome server! He makes me feel right at home. So we mostly go there to have him as our server. The other staff is awesome too, but Daniel is the GOAT.

It's a perfect place to lounge about in Palm Springs. Their prices are very fair, and it's cool that they've got their own selection of speciality Tiki drinks. I recommend the Chai Tai. Never thought a drink with chai could taste so good.

The vibes are immaculate! So adorable and the balcony is cute. Our drinks were super good and they had a very extensive drink list all tiki vibes. Great food for bar crawling and our server was working hard and was attentive!

Have been here in the past for drinks and enjoyed the ambiance, but the drinks were not great, however thought we’d give it another try for dinner this time. The food was absolutely horrible and a waste of money. The Mac salad was dry and flavorless. The coconut shrimp seemed like it was just regular frozen shrimp out of a box and air fried with a side of terrible tangy sauce. My friend’s teriyaki skewers looked dry, tough and tasted just awful. She could not even decipher if it was teriyaki sauce she was given by the flavor. I’m really not sure how this place remains open & with return customers.

Loved the atmosphere but the service is horrible. Server brought out our food and never came back until she brought the check. Had to go to bar to get our drinks.
