First time visiting my Palo Alto and after getting some coffee at Verve, we walked around finding a place to eat. The lunch deal hooked us in and while the value was really good for the area, but it gave me and 3 other friends mild food poisoning, it was a race to the bathrooms Food was ok but maybe not worth the struggle; guess you get what you pay for.

Kind staff, fast service, and amazing food every time I go. 10/10. And their gyoza is out of this world.

Despite the name changes over the years, this place has consistently had the best vegetable udon I've tried. And it's less than $15??? In love.

Went there to get my daughter some California rolls and was told it will be a 30-40 min wait. Asked can I just get them to go and he proceeded to lecture me and state see all these people I have to feed them. I just wanted literally four California rolls and kept getting lecturing on how it's not going to happen.

I was in Palo Alto for work & I was craving sushi for lunch! I came by and when you first walk in the ambiance of the restaurant is nice, cozy & fairly quiet. Everyone that works here is older but that just told me that my sushi was gonna be bomb and I was RIGHT. It's fairly priced also so I didn't feel bad about eating out for lunch lol!! I docked off a star just cause it did take a little while for me to place my to go order even though I was just standing right there trying to make eye contact with one of the workers. California handroll - 5/5 I've had handrolls where they just put tons of rice and call it a day but this one had 75% crab & 25% rice which is what I like! Shrimp tempura roll - 5/5 Super yummy & I loved the crunchiness from the cucumber. Only thing I wish is I wish they added more tempura flakes but that's okay!!! Honestly both items were so good I barely used any of my spicy mayo or soy sauce. Cant wait to come back again!!!

Some of the best tempura I've had, quick service, and good prices. It had been more than 2 years since my husband and I went to dinner in downtown Palo Alto. It used to be our Friday date night pre-Covid and we had eaten at Araki Sushi before. We're seniors and didn't want left overs because we were going to a movie at the Stanford Theater so we shared the combo with the Dragon roll and mixed Tempura. With soup, salad, and more pieces of tempura than listed on the menu, we still took some home. The shrimp was delicious as was the rest of the meal. We will definitely be back.

Sushi is my go-to favorite food of all time and I wanted to try a new Bay Area sushi place. I came here with 3 friends and we had a lovely time. The service is relatively quick and they check up on your for more water consistently. We ordered: Dinner combo; chicken teriyaki/ california roll and the Spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, and mango crunch rolls. All of the rolls we got were pretty good and the prices weren't bad either! I would definitely recommend coming here if you like sushi and don't want to pay TOO much for relatively basic rolls.

The sushi is pretty good here! I got a futomaki roll and seaweed salad, which was pretty filling and tasted pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan of their jalapeño appetizer or their "monkey brains" but I did like their specials - crispy rice with tuna. Definitely don't look over the specials when you're here, get the fun appetizers, and the dinner combos are the best deals.

Yummiest sushi I've had in a while. Generous amount of fresh fish in the rolls. Sashimi melts in your mouth. Definitely recommend and will try again. I'm truly hoping they would maintain same freshness and quality.

My friend and I came here the other night for dinner. The service was quick and we enjoyed our rolls. Not the best rolls I have ever had, but better than a lot of the sushi in South Bay. I would return!

I ordered a bunch of rolls for pick up, as well as some salmon roe nigiri. It was...fine. The salmon roe nigiri was really fishy (and I usually love it, I don't mind the brininess) and the rice felt a little mushy. It wasn't terrible or anything, just very middle-of-the-road sushi. Pickup, however, was quick and service was very friendly!

Good food and good service! My boyfriend and I went inside after a movie and it was 30 min before closing. The man taking our order was so nice and polite :) We got a huge amount of food too! I'm thinking they gave us whatever they have left which we were very thankful for. For the price, it was a lot of food. The udon broth was yummy, the tempura was crispy, and the chicken teriyaki was yummy too :) The monkey brain was delicious!! The chicken teriyaki in my photo was actually more when it first came out, we just ate a bunch of it
