I booked a reservation for the Pongal menu weeks in advance based on an email I received. It said Brunch and Dinner on Jan 17 and 18. My sister in law was visiting from out of town, and I wanted to surprise her with a special south Indian meal. When we arrived at 7pm, our server told us that menu was only available for brunch. I have been to Ettan, Eylan a few times before and first time for a feast. It was absolutely fantastic. Lot of items and very homely food. Some of the items were quite new to me but very tasty. Got a flavor of Tamil Nadu food. The sweets in the end were just fabulous! The Bangalore days drink was superbly balanced (sweetness, sourness etc). Now I have to go to Copra too - the last frontier in the trinity that Chef Srijith runs! :)
We were at Ettan with friends this week and we were amazed by their flavors! Beaufitful decor, friendly staff, follow your server recommendations and try new dishes. The Sesame leaf and the Pani Puri are must tries! Samosas were also delicious! We had their Chicken Biryani, Goan Tiger Shrimp, Butter Chicken, Vellore Chicken Curry, Paneer Kalimirch. We did order family style so everyone could taste all the dishes! Dessert was also so flavourfull, we had the mango passion fruit...
