A bit of a shame. Visit started with no one to take your order. A cook in the back yelling to sit and use the QR code to order. I did but not the best impression.
Burger was dry, but good flavor. Cajun fries were fries with something sprinkled on them, but far from Cajun seasoning. Hopefully just new staff not preparing order correctly.
Place was ice cold. AC is rocking. Wish I had a jacket.

Kirk’s is not Mike’s.
No more wait staff.
I assume those costs contributed to our losing Mike’s.
Order at the counter or sit at the bar and the same bartenders that are making drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant will take your orders when they have time. But it can get busy for them.
If you come with lower expectations and a readiness to support one of the very few restaurants in Midtown, or South Palo Alto for that matter, you’ll be good.
The food is casual but good. Pizza, hamburgers, etc.
Nate is still behind the bar, so that’s definitely a plus!
Lots of TV’s with sports fans ready to discuss any sport at the bar most of the time.

The food is not very good. I would not recommend.
In particular, I would strongly recommend against the spiked milkshakes. Not worth it at all.

Steakburger! Yeah, STEAK! More than just a slogan here. It's the flavor of your burger, from the smallest burger on the menu up to a Double Big Kirk's with a pound of steakburger patties. Still the gold standard that I measure other burgers against. Kirk's is still the reigning champ.

Nothing special about this burgers or place, I would skip it. A Carl’s Jr burger tastes better tbh

Short but interesting beer selection, many types of burgers, but my regular burger felt a tad dry. Will still go back to try other items on the menu.
Love the food here!

Best Burger 🍔 in town with a good selection of beers 🍻 😋
Aggressively mid, and long wait times for burgers. Went during lunch time. Wasn't very busy but it took a half hour to be served.

meh . i mean its literally an overpriced in-an-out burger and nothing much more, unless you like some squishy “churro ends” for nine bucks or “cajun” fries for the similar price which is just your regular fries but sprinkled with some seasoning. service is non existent despite having servers there, for some reason i had to pay in one place but walk over and wait again at the bar for the drink, really? and why on earth i cant get fries and burger all at the same time ?

You have to order at the register and the restaurant had the person also taking phone orders too. Waited 10+ minutes while she was on the phone talking orders instead of from the line

Low key authentic burger place with good burgers, fries, thick crisp onion rings. Avoid salads especially Thai beef which is just plenty of unflavored steamed thin beef slivers on iceberg with standard dressing and peanuts added. Milk shakes looked good. Sweet potato fries droopy but yummy.
