Odori Japanese Cuisine

Small little shop with great sushi. Nice and fresh sushi, even my dad was impressed. We ordered a spider roll with tobiko on the side, a Stanford roll (rainbow), Lion King, Cherry Blossom and a shrimp and veggie tempura appetizer. The textures were good, the care which took to make the sushi was evident. We also got our usual 3 hot teas and a hot sake. It was a little wait for the food to be prepped but it was worth it.

Favorite sushi place in the Bay Area! We have been going regularly for a decade, and like it more than a lot of the fancy omakase places. The salmon, seared salmon, and salmon avocado are insanely good here. Chef’s choice nigiri is delicious too. The rice is just th right flavor.

Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior.
The staff was dismissive, disrespectful, and made the experience very uncomfortable. Basic courtesy was completely lacking.
I would not recommend this restaurant based on how customers are treated.

The older female staff (owner probably?) was a little rude to her Asian customers. But when a Caucasian couple came in, she seemed to be very friendly, going as far as to introduce each dish to them as she served it — which made the experience worse.

Most negative reviews about the restaurant seemed to be about the same lady.

I’ve been ordering sushi here at least 2-3x a month this past year since I live down the street and it’s so so delicious and fresh, every time. Highly recommend!

Super good service, and great food. I got the Negihama and California roll combo meal, and everything was super fresh and tasty. The food was a great deal too! Definitely recommend. :)

Can’t stop going here! I started going to Odori after a recommendation from my friends and I’ve been frequenting it ever since. This is the kind of mom and pop shop our community needs to support. It’s a family-run establishment and the love and care can be felt in the friendly service and delicious food. They really treat you like family here.

I’ve enjoyed the Nigiri lunch special with a California roll - really delicious and fresh fish with great texture as well as the tempura Soba. I’ve been looking for a good Soba spot in the Bay Area and this is it! The noodles are toothsome, earthy, and the sauce is a great blend of umami, sweet, and salty.

Can’t wait to come back!

After i had food from here, i had food poisoned
