Nice place downtown to meet for lunch. And the menu has been updated and improved since I was here last. I like gluten free bread and theirs is excellent. Turkey club, chicken salad, and other choices, all seem excellent. Salads are large and include mixed greens, and big ripe tomatoes. Sit outside if the weather is nice and watch Palo Alto's finest stroll by.

Wonderful restaurant founded in 1923. I've been going here since I was a child. Consistently always has the best dessert, the best milkshakes and overall wonderful service. The milkshakes are absolutely delicious. Sam was our waiter and he was very attentive and polite. This is a MUST go too in the Bay Area. Ambiance is incredible.

Peninsual Creamery Dairy Store is an old school diner serving variety of breakfast, lunch, and dairy treats since 1936. Walking inside is a little like going back in time with its glowing neon sign, old-stye diner seating, and stainless steel backsplashes behind the counter. Nothing about the food is old though! Everything is fresh, delicious, and made with care. I stopped in for lunch and ordered a mushroom burger and macaroni salad. The mushroom burger was hot, tasty, and filled with fresh crunchy produce. It was a tasty and very filling, but the macaroni salad really stood out. It was filled with large firm noodles, mayonnaise, gree pepper, celery, parsley, eggs, carrots, sweet relish, onion, celery salt, and mustard. I think you can see from all the ingredients, they put a lot of effort into the dish. It was much better than anything I've had in recent memory. They also offer a variety of pies, ice cream, shakes, and sudaes for a cool treat during those hold palo alto summers. Well, after ordering I made a quick detour to the restroom, and my food was ready by the time I got back. That was during a fairly busy lunch period, so the staff was working hard to get those orders out. They also keep the restaurant clean, shelves stocked, and well organized. If you're reading this, I hope you already there, or on your way. It's a fun place to stop for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon treat!

Service was good. Ambiance good, classic fountain. Food was mediocre. Chicken strips were not crispy, kiddo hated it. French dip was just ok. Cheeseburger was decent. Won't be going back.

We love the Peninsula Creamery. We find that it is a bit expensive for breakfast. But it's fresh and good. We especially love taking slices of key lime pie home.

This is one of those cute little local town staples. I've been recommended this place a lot and finally got to come by today(Friday 2PM).It wasn't too busy, some locals eating and reading newspapers. I ordered a:- Reuben Sandwich $10 + $1 tax4/5 sandwich and I thought it was delicious but definitely not like a high quality sandwich. More like a super buttery, oily and generally unhealthy for you sandwich that you scarf down because there's so much delicious butter on it. Nonetheless, it's great for a quick meal.I then got a ice cream scoop of their caramel coffee, and I wished the coffee tasted was stronger. It was $5 + no tax?Anyways, this place it super retro and cute. The food is pretty basic, but not bad. Would I come here often, probably not. But watching a bunch of locals come and go with their Ice creamAnd milk shakes. I think it's a great ambience and place.

This breakfast spot is easily the most underrated spot in Palo Alto. It is a perfect taste of home where the staff are humble and treat you so kindly. You’ll know what I mean when you go. Show up, grab the paper and coffee and enjoy a homemade meal. The food is spectacular and made thoughtfully. I love this creamery 1000x more than any fanciful spot nearby. Eulalia who works there is generous and is the kind of person who remembers your order. Try Jaimes scramble for breakfast and the Lalas sandwich for lunch.

I end up stopping here about once a year or so and the food is always good. This trip I had a chocolate malt and patty melt. Both were A+++ and the service was stellar as always. Always a great place to eat in and also good for food to go!!!

The food was so good! I got Gus’ scramble. It was so fresh and tons of food. Our party had pancakes as well and they were fluffy. The staff was so friendly! Cute, retro vibe.

The most creamy ice cream we’ve ever had. Staff are super friendly too. The burgers and sandwiches are great. We’ve never had breakfast.
