This was our first try Burmese food and we really enjoyed their taste. We ordered chicken fried rice, eggplant Burmese curry and beef kebat. We loved fried rice and eggplant curry most, kebat taste was on average. Overall quality and quantity both were satisfactory ?
We went there on Friday night, did reserve our table 2hrs ahead. Parking could be an issue specially during weekends or Friday night but there are a number of public parking places nearby, you just have to be lucky to get a perfect spot!

N.B: if you are not used to asian spicy, I’d recommend to try medium spicy because highest one is tough to digest

They scam you into paying for rice, the food isn’t that good, it’s expensive and the portions are small

They also made an unapproved charge on my credit card and have not been able to resolve it in the last week

Kid-friendliness: Too loud, too spicy (even mild dishes) and too expensive

Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible

I had Fiery Lamb tofu once, 6 years ago, and have not stopped thinking about it.

I have been coming here for years andI feel like the quality of food and the service have deteriorated. But last time we went was especially bad so I felt the need to write a review. 5 of went there and I brought my baby. We were seated at a 4 person table, and it was so tight (even thought we made a reservation and there were available tables). My baby slept in the stroller the entire time, didn't need a highchair and did not eat anything. However they charged us additional fees of the party of 6. I feel like that was not fair since the baby didn't need any accommodations and we sat at such a small table.

Extremely chill vibe and they were able to quickly accommodate our walk-in party of 8. I especially loved the garlic noodles! We met the owner Johnny and his friends who were so generous and kind, will definitely be back!

The food was very below average. Only one of our ordered dishes was tasty. The vegetarian pad Thai was borderline disgusting. Barf. Not going back for sure.

Customer Service: 4.5/5
Were very nice with us and gave us helpful recommendations. Also refilled waters frequently.

Ambiance: 4.25/5
Love the wood vibe and the alc jugs. Paintings/photos were a bit out of place though

The chicken, ignoring all the spice, was just alright. Tbh it was kind of boring. The coconut did not feel as incorporated with the rice. The alc was good though! Right amount of sweet and kick.

Wow: -0.25/1
Didn’t like how they just put sparkling water on our tables and just automatically charge us for it ://. Also there are just a lot of random fees

The food was delicious, great place to order lots of dishes to share. Definitely get the tea leaf salad, authentic taste and super fresh. The samosa soup was delicious, not something you see on the menu everyday but would definitely get it again. The employees were super attentive. Even though the restaurant was busy, we got seated right away. There were about 4 or 5 parties that were celebrating their birthdays. A wonderful place to celebrate with large parties. If you want authentic Burmese cuisine, give Rangoon Ruby a try!

The best Burmese food in town! We had a big party and we ordered varieties of food and dessert to try. My favorites are tea leaves salad, samosa soup, nan-gyi-dok, chicken kebab, and coconut pudding!! Service was top notch even though it was very busy on that day. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good Burmese food!

We visited this place for dinner recently and had a great experience. It is conveniently located in downtown Palo alto. I would highly recommend the tea salad and samosa soup, both of which were unique and delicious.

The tables are very close to each other and the place can get really busy + noisy on weekends. Around 30% of the menu is vegetarian, and they can make adjustments.
