Pear and Blue Cheese seemed unusual to me, but it was absolutely awesome and worth waiting in such a long line. Give it a try!

Our goto place for icecreams in the bay area. Expect long lines though. But they move fast so not a big deal.

Amazing selection of ice cream, they experiment with very interesting flavors. My favourites have been blue cheese-pear, olive oil, salted malted caramel, chocolate gooeyThey do let you try a couple of flavors while trying to choose

The cookie dough flavor is hands down the best ice cream I've ever had. Even now, in 2024, I still find myself thinking about it!

As a vegan family, walk-up ice cream options with cones are fairly limited. Having just moved to Palo Alto, we decided to give this a try - even though the line on a Saturday night was out the door & fairly long! My young daughter had a coughing fit while waiting and asked them for a glass of tap water - DENIED! Buy the bottle "sorry"! ??When we got to the front, the employee was happy to let us try all the vegan flavors, happily gave us what we needed, and how we asked for it! The cashier wasn't particularly cheerful or helpful, just paid for what we got and we were on our way! All 4 of us agreed that only 1 flavor hit all the notes - Vegan Mint! The ice cream itself was great, but the place left a bad taste in our mouth after they couldn't give a child clearly in distress a simple glass of tap water! ?Kid-friendliness: While they cater to a kid size scoop, they don't cater to kids as they denied a young child a simple glass of tap water!

To put it simply…You need to go here! This place is nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere and food was every bit what you would hope to experience and more.My wife and Son were back at our hotel room quarantining for my son’s heart surgery he was going to have the next day. I had a request to get Ice cream. At first I was overwhelmed with all the crazy options and of course My wife and son couldn’t make things simple on me and get a generic ice cream. I had to sample nearly every type and provide feedback over the phone. And yes I mean every type, such as the Turkey and Stuffing as well as the Blue Cheese and Pear. The employee felt my discomfort with asking for more and more samples and he went out of his way to constantly assure me that he would love to get me as many as I needed. One would say its because he had a sensitive heart to my situation, however I did not bring my situation up until after all the samples so he would have perspective to why I needed to try so many.I am not one to go to the same place twice when traveling, however I can tell you that I am going back before we head back home.

Service was great - they have some interesting ice cream flavors. I tried the passion fruit with truffle and pear blue cheese one. The passion fruit with truffle tasted good at first, but then it was just odd since you are mixing sour with bitter I would recommend mixing with something sweet instead. I recommend trying the pear and blue cheese ice cream.

Wow! I’m a big fan. Usually when traveling, I’ll always stop for artisanal ice cream. Salt & Straw is the best I’ve had. Complex, delicious flavors, wonderful and fresh cones, and amazing service. 5/5 across all fronts. We will definitely return our next time in Palo Alto. Cookie dough was our favorite, and there were a plethora of vegan options which were also delicious.Dietary restrictions: Vegan

Overpriced and lackluster. My husband and I stopped by and decided to grab a couple pints to skip the line. $25 for two pints is a bit steep, but considering the line I thought maybe it would be worth it. Boy was I wrong. We picked the gooey brownie and the non-dairy red velvet cake. The red velvet just tasted like coconut, nothing at all like the cake, save for the actual cake chunks. As for the gooey brownie, dryers is just as good and I can get a whole quart for half the price. Safe to say we will not be back.
