My toddler and I came 30 mins before closing time and they still served us. They even served people who came later than us! They just asked us to pay at closing time but we can stay longer to finish our meal. Everything was yummy. I love going to a Korean restaurant and they serve me purple rice. My daughter ate a lot. Will come back here if I ever visit Menlo Park again.

The exterior doesn't look impressive but interior has a modern feel. Generous & tasty banchan arrived after order taken.Entrees arrive piping hot. We got the beef dolsot in cast iron bowl-rice was crispy. Haemul pajan pancake- crispy & loaded with variety of seafood. Staff are prompt & efficient.

I love coming here with our kids. They love it. I love it. I love that they love it. Super family friendly and so tasty that each kid ends up eating an entire pot of tofu soup. Hardly any left for the adults.

I ate here years ago and have since moved out of the area but that meal still ranks as one of the most memorable and delicious restaurant meals I’ve had. No frills, nothing fancy but the food was outstanding, served fast and sizzling hot. They’ve been in business for decades which is saying something! I can’t wait to eat here again when I’m back in town.
A popular Korean restaurant serving tofu soup and bibimbap in hot clay pots. There are abundant free appetizers with each order. Entrees are around $25 each (dinner). The place is very popular and often there's a wait. The tables are close to each other, which results in a loud cacaphony of random conversations around you that you have no choice but to overhear when you are not yourself speaking loudly to your party.
Wonderful food. Great source of protein and health ❤️.
High quality.

Went there for dinner a couple of times, but their service is getting worse and worse. The lady at the reception was very impolite and rude.
She forced us to order more food than we needed before allowing us to take our seats. When we asked for more fish cake, the male waiter scolded us, saying, “No more fish cake.” It completely ruined our night.

visited Tofu House and had a very disappointing experience.
During my meal, a neighboring table spilled an entire glass of water, and I was unfortunately drenched. The staff moved me to another completely new table in another corner but that seat was wet. This resulted in my clothing being soaked, including underlayers, which made the rest of the meal very uncomfortable.
What was more disappointing was the lack of meaningful response. I received a brief apology, but there was no real effort to properly accommodate the situation, dry the seating area, or offer any gesture of goodwill (such as comping the meal or offering a replacement). I still had to pay in full.
Accidents happen, but I expected better care and basic hospitality in handling the aftermath. At a minimum, a clean dry seating arrangement and some form of acknowledgment beyond a verbal apology would have been appropriate.

We were Stanford local and have been in the area for more than 5 years. This is the worst restaurant here ever. We were waiting for our soup for more than 30 min and it turned out they forgot to add it to my order. During the 30 min, we asked about the status of the item for three times and they kept saying it’s under preparation. In the end, they said the soup was actually not included in the order. Very bad services. Don’t go!

I went to Tofu House in Palo Alto and honestly really liked it. The soft tofu stew was super comforting and had a nice depth of flavor without being too heavy. I also loved all the little side dishes since they felt fresh and made the meal more fun. It did get a bit busy, but the service was still pretty quick and friendly. I would definitely go back when I am craving something warm and satisfying.

Consistent quality and a fresh new look! I’ve visited both before and after their remodel, and the food remains excellent. It’s a quiet, comfortable space to grab a meal with friends. Prices are a bit higher than other tofu spots in the area, but the quality and atmosphere justify the cost.

Great tofu broth with a variety of protein choices. Ban chan is good, if we weren't late to lunch, we would have been able to request more. Nice service even though they were closing and had us eat outside while they cleaned inside. The gyoza had a nice crisp.
