The food was excellent. The appetizers, main courses, and desserts were really delicious. The service was also excellent. Everyone in our group had nothing but compliments about our experience.
Great experience for dinner. Enjoyed the food and the service. Second time coming here will continue coming back for future events.
The entire staff at The Sea and Alexander's should be commended for all of their efforts as you will experience over the top service and quality of dining like no other. Maria, our server is by far the best server that she has to offer. Every time we have been lucky enough to have her as our server, she tops the last experience, making it unique and delightful time that makes you want to come back for more. Thank you to the entire staff at The Sea by Alexander's, and congratulations to Tim for continuing to make it a place that you don't want to miss
The Sea by Alexander's is end-to-end, a really special restaurant. From the valet, to the front desk, to the severs and the manager, everyone is focused on providing their guests a superlative dining experience. The food, of course, is wonderful! We had the hamachi shots (we always do - they're that good!) and the lobster rocks for starters, both excellent and shareable by at least 3 people, the miso cod and petite fillet for mains (again excellent), and haricot verts and truffled fries as sides. Everything was delicious, and the sides were also large enough for at least 3 people. My daughter was about 30 mins late - she showed up at the other Alexander's in Cupertino by mistake! Our server and other staff members handled the delay with great grace and humor, and not for a minute was I made to feel awkward about the snafu. So well handled! It's the perfect place for a special and elegant evening. Thank you!
From the welcome bread, the appetizers, main course & desserts, everything was really good! Highly recommended! One of the best restaurant in Palo Alto for sure!
We had our anniversary dinner here on October 26, 2024. Outstanding service of perhaps any restaurant we have been to in the Bay Area, recently. Well staffed, solicitous, courteous, well informed. Our server, Ricardo was the best. Strongly recommend the restaurant.
If you want to eat a hearty, high-quality steak, this is the place.
As the name of the restaurant suggests, they also have a wide selection of seafood.
It's very delicious.

Pointing out the obvious: the pricing is nothing to sneeze at, come here if you intend to impress. I took my then-girlfriend now-wife here, the place did not disappoint. You gotta go for the seafood if you come, she got a ridiculously delicious dish, better than my dish. Everything was pretty and clean, the servers were attentive,

We came for a birthday dinner. We decided to go with the tasting menu because you get to try seafood and steak. We started with a complimentary glass of blood orange sparkling juice and beef on a crustini with a delicious truffle aoli. Then we each had a hamachi shooter. You can order them by 2, 4 or 6. Since we were getting the tasting menu, we only got one. They are delicious! We started with the abalone which was quite tender. Then the scallops, so delicious. And then the dory, which was delicious with an eggplant base. The steak was delicious and tender. The husband upgraded to the waygu. And we ordered the scallop risotto cuz it just sounded so good. And it was so creamy and full of flavor! You have to try it. We then got our dessert which was a matcha crème, but it was hard to cut into with a spoon, a fork would have been better. There was a light matcha flavor, but otherwise didn't taste like much. Not sweet. I would pass on the dessert. They also gave us a celebratory chocolate cake for his birthday. And of course the cotton candy. I wanted to take it home and asked for a bag. Jonathan our waiter gave us a fresh cotton candy to go. The cherry flavor was distinct. And Jonathan and his staff took very good care of us. He also takes good photos for you.
Vegetarian options: They have vegan options too

This was an absolutely great experience. Service was extremely attentive. Our server John was very helpful and kind. He did a great job making my family feel welcome and accommodated. The cocktails were superb and the food from appetizers to entrees were very very well made and flavorful. I had the Sea-bass and it was so buttery and flavorful. It was of course on the pricier side but, For another very special occasion, I would come here again.

Excellent but outrageously expensive food with high-quality and friendly service. This place would get my unreserved recommendation if not for the pricing. With a tasting menu at $195 and the “surf and turf special of the day” at $245, the restaurant is pricing itself to be compared to the nation’s most creative and well-regarded restaurants, which it absolutely is not. It’s a shame, really, because at 50-60% of the price, this place world would strike a perfect chord.
Seeking a lighter meal, I stuck to the appetizer menu — oysters, steak tartare, and grilled octopus. Combined with a complimentary amuse bouche of fish rilletes and dessert of banana cotton candy (tastier than I expected), it was a lovely meal. But that was already north of $100 before drinks. That’s just not justifiable when compared to other restaurants at the same or lower price in SF or NYC.

Top notch chophouse. Love the quality and the service is above and beyond. I went for the tomahawk, and it was a feat for a king! Everything we got was terrific, but I'll be dreaming of that tomahawk for a long time.
