Our server made our experience beyond excellent. We sat in one of their gorgeous patios and were treated to exquisite service and excellent homemade treats and delicious brunch choices. Everything was delicious and a great place to catch up with family, no one rushed us. We will be back!
This is my second time dining at The Raymond and unfortunately I found the food mediocre on both occasions.
Celebrated my birthday with a few friends here, for brunch. The food was good but nothing unique. I had the grilled truffle sandwich with mushrooms and it was good but a bit too oily and too caramelized (bit in the overdone). Wish it had a sauce to go with it. My friends had pancakes but they were just ok, though a good big size with fresh blueberries. The pastries were yummy though and the cream that goes with muffin and coffees cake were really good. We sat inside in the den like room which was a bit hot since the windows brought the bright afternoon sun and the music was a bit too loud 🥴 but the service was nice and prompt. The place is very cute and cozy but I feel it needs a little more romantic calm vibes than bad 2000s music.
Excellent restaurant with excellent staff. Helped along the way, made excellent suggestions and excellent food. I would go again.
It has been years since my last meal at the Raymond. I moved up North and was in town for a meeting. Such an iconic Pasadena experience. I took my granddaughter for her first visit to Pasadena. She loved the atmosphere and delicious food. Everyone was so nice—all the servers were prompt and well trained. I highly recommend The Raymond.
This was my first time here, and everything was great! The hostess was very friendly and helpful. I made a reservation on OpenTable, but we needed to increase our group size. Unfortunately, I had to talk to an animated voice when I called, which was a bit frustrating. I left a message to let them know about the change. At first, the hostess said there was no space available for our group size. She was going to put us in the bar area on separate tables, but she made it happen, which I really appreciated. Our waiter was great, and the food was delicious. I will definitely come back! I've been driving by this place for years.
Ordered the wasabi crusted salmon which was barely 2 ounces. Tasted okay for what was on the plate.
Went for Sunday brunch with family. I've eaten at The Raymond several times before and will eat there time and time again. The food is consistently good. We especially love the pastry board. Service is always pretty good as well. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Ginger who was bubbly, attentive and thoughtful.
Food was delicious. Our server Ginger was fabulous. Our birthday celebration was outstanding.
Wonderful brunch in a very charming setting. Our server was excellent, pastry platter was delicious - my favorite was the cinnamon roll - and the food was very good. Only complaint would be the prosciutto and asparagus omelette. Just my opinion but crispy prosciutto would have been better. We will be back and will try the waffle platter next!!

Wonderful place to celebrate any special occasion! The service was great and the food was delicious!
A good friend and I decided to have brunch at the Raymond Restaurant yesterday morning. I, personally, have wanted to try this place for quite a while. I went to high school around the corner and always passed it on my way home. My initial impressions were that the place was quaint and perfect for a nice meal with friends/family. We were promptly seated and given menus. Christian, our waiter, started off well by taking drink orders within three minutes of our seating. He QUICKLY went downhill after that. We waited longer than we would have liked to order our entrees. Our food came after a reasonable amount of time and looked appetizing. Christian disappeared and we had to ask the manager for condiments. My friend also waited over 10 minutes for her iced tea to be refilled. Our plates were taken by a busboy who never verified if we were through or said “excuse me” when he reached over us to pick up our plates. In fact, the busboy never said anything both times he visited our table. We had to ask the host to find Christian so that I could box up my food and get the check. While the food was decent, the service left a lot to be desired. The table next to us did not seem to have the issues that we had. Christian noted that he also worked at Parkway Grill, which made his poor service even more irritating. Parkway Grill is a high end restaurant that I'm sure does not tolerate subpar servers. Given this, there is no excuse for his ineptitude yesterday. All in all, I'm glad we finally got to try “The Raymond,” but I'm in no rush to return and neither is my friend.
Our experience at The Raymond Restaurant was excellent! Delicious food, excellent service, and wonderful ambiance. We sat in the bar area. It was fun to watch the bartenders work their magic while enjoying our dinner. Highly recommend.
I haven't been to Raymond for a while. I was very surprised as how casual it was from what I remember. I saw people extremely dressed down and with pijamas even. We were a large paraty and were seated 20 min late and although the service was ok, the food was not. I don't mind to pay for good food that's delicious, but the value for what we got was ridiculous, small portions, not much flavor and very pricey for what we got. The corkage was $30. for a restaurant of that caliber, the corkage should be $10. The staff were very nice, no complaint there at all, but I would never go back. It was very disappointing!
Love it, first time taking my wife. First time for me in five years; food was amazing! Love the patio seating, it was a perfect night. Despite the concert at the Rose Bowl, service was on point. Clifton was great, attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. My steak was cooked to perfection; both sauces rock but my favorite was the peppercorn. We will be back
