Excellent food. Slow service. Also servers did not bring honey and lemon for tea. Had to ask twice to get what I ordered.
Beautiful building, just like you're in someones home. Great food, good service , perfect martini.
Brunch was delicious-the blueberry pistachio waffles were amazing and everyone loved their meal. We were seated in a quiet room of the restaurant-next time I'd love to see the dining room. We'll definitely be back.
The Raymond is one of our go-to places for special evenings. Such a wonderful vibe, great drinks, and great food. Truly a gem!!
Our water was excellent, he know what he's talking apout, and very knowledgeable, I liked him
I have dined at The Raymond for years and always found it an excellent dining option in Pasadena. We went to The Raymond for brunch on Sunday, August 24 and we were disappointed. It was not a bad experience but it was mediocre: service was fair (bordering on poor), food was okay - not bad but not what I expect from The Raymond. Ambience was, as always, excellent. But, given the price point, I would say the experience, from a value perspective, was only fair. Will we go back to The Raymond, probably. This was one mediocre experience in a history of lovely dining at the restaurant. But, if we experienced the same mediocre experience in the future we would probably have to take The Raymond off our dining rotation.
Raymond 1886 was a cute gem in Pasadena. The wait staff was excellent and even gave us free dessert for the birthday we were celebrating! The food was pretty good, but pricey. We ordered the ribeye and truffle pasta. The drinks were really delicious as well and they even make their own ice. The ambiance was nice, the patio had cute dim lighting which made us feel as if we were inside. It was fairly nosy outside, but we could all hear each other talk. Overall I recommend the Raymond for a nice date night
I think their chef was sick that night. Half of our table had good food. The other half was really unacceptable. But the ambience and service was fantastic. We'll give it another try and hope that their chef iis in good form next time.
We all had a marvelous time. I believe Alexander was our server. He was great. The wine selections were perfect. Thank you for making my 79th birthday celebration special.
The Raymond is one of our favorite places to enjoy a fabulous meal... Their signature “Old Fashion” drink is top notch... their wine selection is devine... the servers there are amazing... overall a true gem to have a fabulous elegant date night or a casual evening. I love that you can sit next to a celebrity chef, basketball player, actor etc and you don't have people storming them and annoying the guests, everyone is there to enjoy a meal.

I picked Raymond to host a party of six family members for a special celebration over brunch today, I have been here several times recently for brunch and dinner and really enjoyed good services with welcoming smiles. Today, we were seated in the side patio outdoor, there was no acknowledgement of any celebration from the start. Our waitress served us with stone face throughout the entire 1.5 hours we were there. On a hot summer day like today, I needed to constantly request refill of water for the entire party, the wait staffs seem to have no idea that both regular and decaf coffee were ordered without my reminder, when the coffee was poured, there was a bad spill and I needed to again request the cleanup. An automatic large party service charged was added to the bill which would have been fine except we received no service, or worst yet, really lousy service. I would have preferred to tip more than 20% for better service. What a disappointment today!
I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium to medium well. I did not want to send it back but did point it out to the waitress who agreed with me looking at the steak. Mistakes happen but do some recovery, if you take a glass of wine off the bill guests might come back.
Unique vibes and great food. Their fried calamari is absolutely delicious. Will be coming back soon!
Took us (party of 8) about 45 minutes to get seated after our original reservation time of 7PM. We were offered a round of free prosecco to make up for the lost time, which was nice. Food came out slow, but was delicious.
The Raymond is simply an amazing restaurant from the atmosphere and customer service to the beautiful cocktails and delicious food. The Raymond is the perfect restaurant to have brunch on the weekends as well as romantic date nights in their beautiful outdoor space.
