My sweet tooth is why Carrara’s made it on my Pasadena Do See Taste list.
I was looking forward to trying their gelato, but the flavor selections seemed typical so I selected one of their pastries in stead. I was in the mood for a tropical flavor and there was only strawberry or lemon and since it wasn’t on display I wasn’t enticed as I eat with my eyes first.
The peach mango mousse special of the day was scrumptious! The packaging was so elegant! It felt like an experience when I opened the box to taste my treats. Their pastries look divine! It was hard not to pick more. I also opted for an Italian cookie/tart filled with a vanilla custard and topped with almonds and pine nuts. Also very good.
In the mood for a fancy sweet treat, it’s worth a stop @ Carrara’s.

Hidden gem! It is few blocks away from old town Pasadena so you may not walk passed by so it must be pretty good to survive.! Besides wonderful cup of coffee, the pastry is divine s s the cake is delicious! Came here today to pick up the tiramisu cake for my sons birthday!!!

This Italian bakery is delicious! Picked up a few treats for Mothers Day. The cakes are light and airy and not overly sweet. The chocolate cake is very decadent and rich. The ingredients taste high quality. The service was very professional and sweet!
I don't know what happened to the business, it used to be one of my favorite dessert spots. Went to get some cake and gelato today, the service was bad, the young guy at the counter was unprofessional, no greeting, took my order wrong, didn't know what he was doing. Some cakes don't look fresh or been sitting there for too long that started to fall apart. The presentation is just bad. Probably won't be back.

The pastries were fun, flavorful, sophisticated, elegant, and beautiful all at the same time. I will remember these flavors for years to come. The person who was helping us was very kind, and helpful who made the visit very memorable. I recommend getting Italian donuts, the blueberry cheesecake, and the peach mango mousse cake.If I could give Carrara's Pastries & Cafe one million stars I would ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
