Serving some of the best seafood in Pasadena! Situated at the heart of beautiful Old Town Pasadena, Fishwives is a solid spot if you're looking for variety and a bit of a change from your usual American greasy food.Their ceviche is outstanding and so fresh; the fried oysters on devilled eggs were incredibly flavourful and cooked to perfection - with the right amount of crunch; the lobster roll was scrumptious with chunks of lobster meat in every bite; and their fish and chips were outstanding - featured a great crispy batter paired with their excellent fries. Everything that we ordered was great plus service was spot-on!Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for seafood in the Pasadena area.

One word FRESH! I thought the deviled eggs were a bit pricey for the serving... Then I ate it. 0_0 omg the explosion of flavor. All their food is fresh, the flavors are straight from the ingredients. The clam chowder is not too creamy or salty like other places. You can taste the sweetness of carrots and the clam*chef's kiss* the service is also amazing. Very welcoming! Plz give this place a try!

We had a very nice, and knowledgeable server. And he really made the meal extra nice. We had the deviled eggs with fried oysters and the sushi flight. The hand rolls. It was all very tasty.

I don't know why it took me this long to try Fishwives, but I highly recommend it. I would make a reservation so you don't have to wait for a table. I ordered the New England clam chowder, Tsukiji market ceviche, Maryland-style jumbo crab cake, & wild Icelandic true cod fish & chips. The restaurant is behind the Container Store sandwiched between a few other stores so it can be missed at first. Everything was delicious and fresh tasting. The clam chowder is not heavy and very creamy like the clam chowders you'll find at the markets. The restaurant is clean and modern. It just feels like you're having a nice beachside meal without the long drive to the beach. I can't wait to come back and try more stuff on the menu. The best place to park is the public Marriott parking that’s right across the street from Pasadena Memorial Park since it’s only a $1 for the first two hours of parking.

We went 30 minutes before they close and they still accommodated us. We ordered oysters, scallops and they were still fresh despite the time being so late. They have great selections of beers on tap. I highly recommend the crab roll because it’s the best we’ve had in LA. We brought our toddler and the booth on the corner is perfect spot for him lol. It’s a seafood spot and yes, items are pricey. But so as every other seafood restaurants in California.

I cannot believe how bad this place is. The raving reviews make NO SENSE. The place stinks, the atmosphere is worse than a food court in a cheap mall and the food is overpriced and disgusting. We got the lobster rolls that everyone seems to love and they were utterly terrible.

Excellent food and great service. The place gets busy even on weeknights so it's a good idea to plan ahead and reserve a spot, especially with a big group of people. Wonderful quality of food, the fish and chips were awesome. Highly recommended!

Food was great, very New England fish house feel with a little upscale twist and a great raw bar. Place didn't seem full when I got there but they asked if I had a reservation and seemed out out when I said I didn't. Interesting how Google says they only take reservations for large parties. Whatever. Food was good, will probably try it again at some point.Parking: Parking in Pasadena always easy in a parking garage.

Wow. Amazingly good seafood. Menu is limited and I am sure that is because what they do serve is super fresh and packed with flavors. I had the steamer basket, salad and house pickle sampler. Will definitely be back when I am in Pasadena.
