Service matters and when you are ignored and people that arrive after you get seated, and you actually have to say out loud “is someone going to help me” you know your “kind” is not wanted. Sad but I truely feel discriminated against. Shame on the server that did not speak even one word to me. To the establishment owners, it only takes one person and one bad experience to lose a long time customer. Unfortunately, I had it tonight and will not return.

We have been coming to Heidar Baba for many years, and it truly feels like a hidden gem in Pasadena. The food is absolutely delicious – authentic Mediterranean flavors that are always fresh and full of taste. Every dish reminds us of the rich and vibrant traditions of the region.
What makes this place even more special is that the recipes go back more than five thousand years, carrying the heritage of the ancient peoples of the East and the Mediterranean. I don’t normally give good reviews but WOW! I wasn’t expecting this. SOLID RESTAURANT! It’s worth it.
I ordered the Spicy Koobideh plate and was not disappointed. Can feed 2 people easy. I’m a huge monster of a person and I couldn’t finish it. I only wish I had a shovel so I could have eaten it faster.
Food was ready exactly on time, 20 mins / cost 25$ with tax but in my opinion WELL WORTH IT.
I know Pasadena is nicer than the rest of LA and you should expect better quality here but HEIDAR BABA is better than Pasadena deserves. A+
Way better than Raafi and other restaurants in LA I believe this place is underrated. If you're looking for authentic persian food, here is where you can find it.
