A decent boba spot in Pasadena. I always wished they had more toppings. But all their drinks are good and consistent. They have a really small parking lot with Afters IceCream. But there’s plenty of street parking all around. I usually get their fresh jaded green mountain tea with black and white boba. I like almost all their drinks and the aesthetic vibes of the cafe. But I wish there was a restroom and more space area to sit and enjoy the tea there.
very aesthetic and, more importantly, delicious tea shop. barista was suuuuper friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. the hoji matcha blend was soooo good and still had a very strong matcha taste even though it was a blended drink. ideal sweetness was really good as someone who generally orders 50% sweetness. will definitely be back to try more beverages :)
Fresh fruit, clean tasting tea and milk, and absolutely delicious!
This place came recommended as the best boba around here, and since they knew the boba scene in Irvine, they told me this place was the closest thing and super competitive. That immediately got my attention because Irvine boba is elite. Pulled up to Hoji and the shop itself is beautiful. Super modern, clean, the plaster walls and whole design are just sick. The vibe alone sells it. The staff was really sweet too. I asked which drink they recommended and she told me to get the Mango Cloud with boba. I am so glad I listened. Before I even ordered, she was handing out little sample cups of their jasmine tea boba which was actually really good. That already gave me confidence.
The Mango Cloud that thing was amazing. There were huge chunks of mango in there, the boba was perfect, and the drink itself had this airy, slushy, cloud type texture that was really fun. The mango flavor was so clean and not overly sweet. Just the right balance. I destroyed that drink. I finished it before I even made it to my destination which was literally four minutes away. That is how good it was.
I wish this place was closer because I would definitely want to try their other drinks. But for my first experience, it was a total hit. I would absolutely recommend this place.
I really love the tea here but it always smells like a bathroom in the shop! Not a fan of that, but I still go in because the drinks are good.
I just passed by a milk tea shop and didn’t expect it to be so delicious. I recommend the mango matcha!
Went here for the first time and it was great! Unique flavors, good sweetness level, fast service, tasted good.
Everything on the menu is great, especially the matcha mango and hojicha, avocado mango, I love the quality of boba. I prefer 50% sweetness.
I love the ambiance in this cafe though it can be very busy at times. The blended matcha is really delicious as long as you forget the calories. The blended fruit teas are good options as well.
Loving this boba spot for the aesthetic and their amazing drinks.
I had:
1. Fresh avocado bliss
2. Fresh strawberry uji matcha
3. Japan iced hojicha
4. Hoji iced matcha

I tried the Onyx Black Milk Tea and Fresh White Grape & Lychee Tea.
Both were pretty good, the space is cool, and service was nice. It does take them longer to make the drinks as they are premium drinks and you can tell they take good care to make each cup to order.
mouth feel of their house cream is the best of dozens of boba spots I’ve had throughout sgv. wish they made a red tea or chicory/ dandelion/mushroom coffee type creamy drink for a caffeine free option later in the day. lovely interior and perfect size and aesthetic for a shop.
Yep, definitely deserves 5 🌟
The best hojicha drink I had
Good vibe, cool space, but if you order a drink with no sugar, a tea place needs to do a drink with no sugar. They seem unable to do zero sugar, after multiple times going, asking simply and respectfully, please can I do zero sugar. They actually say yes and hand you drink with sugar. Simple as that. And if you forget to ask for zero sugar, it's an instant headache level of sugar as their default, completely unpalatable. I have no idea who's ordering their extra sugar option.
No bathrooms :(
