Just had the most amazing experience at Philz! If you're looking for a perfect hot mocha and a delicious bacon breakfast burrito, this is the place to go! The coffee was just what I needed on this chilly day and the burrito was fresh and satisfying. The staff was so friendly and the service was quick despite the crowd. The restrooms were clean and designed for everyone. Overall, a great spot to grab a bite when you're in a rush. It saddens me to say this. Philz’s product consistency has gone down so damn much these days. One in three drinks tastes stale or rancid. I order the same thing day in and day out, no sugar or creamer added. I’m unsure what is causing the inconsistency. At $6+ per cup of coffee, can’t be having this level of quality control issues.

I’m so glad I found this place! It is so cute and I love that their cold drinks are in typical “hot drink” cups. It actually makes drinking coffee without a straw way more accessible. Their cold brew was yum as well as their plant based breakfast sandwich. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.

I ordered a Medium, Hot, Black Philtered Soul coffee today with 1 Stevia. When I picked up my order I took a sip and it tasted like it needed another Stevia. I asked the barista for another Stevia because it did not taste sweet or like Stevia was inside of it. She replied, “oh that was Stevia? I put sugar in it.” I told her that I’m a Type 1 Diabetic. I can NOT have sugar. This could have been life threatening for me if I had drank it without knowing ingested sugar and not had my insulin pen with me. She made me a new coffee, I appreciated that. But this is not a “small” mistake. Especially for an almost $10 coffee. I’ve been a long time Philz fan for over a decade in SF. This was a very scary moment for me.
