Had combo pho and shrimp spring rolls. Both were tasty and filling. Good portion. Reasonable price for nowadays and in Pasadena. The place was crowded and had the slightly noisy conversation vibe going on. Very popular and I now know why. The restaurant only seats about 40, service was fast and staff were polite.
Ordered take out and the pho was just okay. The broth wasn't hot enough to cook my rare steak and it only turned a light white color, not allowing a full cook through. I did not end up finishing it but it's wasn't all the good or bad. Just okay.
Average pho. Not so good, but not so bad either.
The food is so salty, my friend’s skin got swollen afterwards. veggie is small. Would never come again.
Worst beef pho. Got food poisoning! Do not recommend
I recently visited Pho on California and had a wonderful dining experience. I ordered the Pho Ga, and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was incredibly flavorful, with a perfect balance of rich, savory, and aromatic notes. The chicken was tender and well-cooked, and the accompanying herbs and toppings were fresh and vibrant, adding a nice touch to the dish. It was clear that a lot of care went into preparing the food.
The restaurant itself is small, but it has a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Despite the limited space, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to ensure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better.
I can see myself coming back again, as the quality of the food and the welcoming service left a great impression. If you’re in the area and craving a good bowl of pho, I’d definitely recommend stopping by Pho on California.
Clear and delicious broth without the smell.

The pho was actually pretty good, but the portion of the veggies was small. And, the service could have been a lot better! The workers didn’t greet us or come to our table until later to get our order. We just didn’t feel welcome.

You can always count on a pho spot to have some vegan options, but the pho wasn’t what kept me from going back. Their Banh Mi is a good option for vegans although the tofu is a bit minimal. Crunch on the bread is great and surprisingly their French fries were delicious. I’ve always received quick and nice service. I’d skip the spring rolls next time. Various other dishes can be made vegan.

Their pho tastes good! Even for summer sometimes whenever I feel sick I come here to eat pho. Their price is really affordable with nice ambiance. The restaurant is pretty small so good for quick eat. Besides their server always fast and bring everything what I need right after I ask them.
Kid-friendliness: Workers really love my kids and being so kind and friendly
