This place is popular and can get very busy. A bit on the pricey side. They have very interesting flavors that they encourage you to try! They also can do a split scoop if you cannot make up your mind about which flavor to have ?
Went 1-15-24. So good. Long line to get in about 7:00 pm on a weekend. The ice cream is worth the wait. They encourage you to try flavors but all of them are good. Person working behind the counter making waffle cones was doing an amazing job. I will definitely be coming back for more. Got a split scoop with two different flavors in a cup to go.

It was always packed every time I passed by this spot & my experience explained why. With so many flavors available, the male staff was patient enough to extend a spoon of each kind based on my preference. I ended up getting Coffee & Love Nuts which I enjoyed a lot. I felt no guilt in every scoop as the level of sweetness was low & creaminess was balanced & yet didn't compromise its flavorful aspect. Simply fulfilling! I will definitely go back to try other popular ones in the menu.

Tried this ice cream for the first time and really enjoyed it. I ordered the red velvet and cream cheese, single scoop, on a sugar cone. I had dinner before and was really full but this was a great portion and the ice cream was delicious. Also tried the salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough which was also good.You can try as many flavors as you’d like. They use silver reusable spoons that you later throw down a shute. This was a great concept to reduce waste. I’d happily go back.I don’t know if there’s a public restroom but I doubt it as most places in Old Pasadena don’t. You can try your luck at street parking but that’s always hard to find.

I love Salt & straw for their unique and innovative flavors. I tried the strawberry balsamic and goat cheese habanero, which was very spicy! But the choice falls to the coffee and nut flavors! Big thanks to Sean for helping us and even giving us a treat!!

there's nothing to not love about salt and straw. the quality of the ice cream is unbeatable - so creamy and not icy at all. the classic flavors are really really well done, with honey lavender, pear and blue cheese, and cold brew coffee cashew praline are my staples every time i come. the flavors are well balanced, not to sweet with lots of textures that is always exciting to eat.+++ plus is they have reusable sample spoons!! we love eco friendly businesses :)
