H Hi

I wish I knew about this place when it first opened up. Seed Bakery's artisan breads are the real deal: no oils, preservatives, colorants or texturizers are used, and breads are heavy and full of fiber. It's no wonder Seed's sandwiches are simply amazing.

I've been missing my family gatherings where we sit around a big table and aunts and cousins and siblings sit for hours sharing stories and memories while we work our way through good fresh breads and butter. After stopping at 4 high end supermarkets I found no decent bread with a hard crust and soft inside... and then I found Seed. Some things are expensive but it's amazing quality and craftsmanship. And this bread!! A sourdough loaf was the best $7 I ever spent.

Food is pretty good, but the service has definitely left something to be desired. If you want to feel like you are an inconvenience to the owner and employees feel free to visit. There are plenty of other places to get pastries in the area that are much more welcoming.

Has this place been hiding from me, I'm not sure, but I found a find so it must be shared. There's a corner door open for pickup orders, so just swing into the parking lot behind their building and check the menu board to find a your new favorite culinary surprise. Their frittata is delicious.

You know when you get mad at not going to a place sooner. That’s how I feel about Seed Bakery. We have been looking for good sandwiches and here it is in our back yard. So good!

I like supporting small stores instead of company chains but the reviews calling this bakery "world class" were maybe written before 2020? And maybe it used to be better? The old pictures of the inside look nice. But some of those old pictures show old menu prices; they're higher now. $6 over-baked pasties, and standing on the sidewalk of busy Washington Blvd waiting for coffee & food to be handed through a door like we're still in the middle of the pandemic is silly. Returned once more for the breakfast burrito. If you like a lot of salty ham more than egg, you might really enjoy the hefty $16 burrito.

Oh my GOSH! When my husband and I moved to Pasadena, this was probably the most recommended place! We finally checked it out and we never go anywhere else when it comes to baked goods!!!! Everything, and I mean everything there, is so delicious! The way they formulate, bake and create these goods are superb! The location is on a corner of Washington and a suburb street, and it's a blue painted building, you can't miss it! You can't really go inside since it's just a corner stand, but you can take a sneak peek inside of all their breads and goods! Service is so great - everyone is so nice and helpful! Their sandwiches are also divine! We usually get the cauliflower sandwich, salmon/lox sandwich, and eggplant sandwich! Do not sleep on their crossaints, especially the strawberry pistachio!!

This is my first and definitely won't be my last . The food looks amazing and tastes like a slice of heaven. I love bread and pastries and everything I have tried is amazing. Let's not talk about the soup... just awesome. This will be my new go to spot and it's a healthier option. Kudos to the chef and bakers!

Fantastic baked goods. This is a rare example a bakery that produces both exceptional bread and delicious pastries. They have a range of breads that are imaginative and well executed. The sweets are very varied and are made with an attention to detail. They have interesting flavors, often using fruit and employing French baking techniques. I like their soft pretzels, croissants, and pies.

I love this place....bread is very good quality I just don't like that they ask for tips every time I buy it. It feels like I should tip every time to a cashier at trader Joe's or Ralph's as well...

They're currently operating as a takeout-only operation and NOT accepting any cash payments. There's free parking in a small parking lot in the back. There was a small queue early in the morning, but it moved quickly. Making a selection was very difficult because all the options were available and everything looked SO good! I went with the strawberry pistachio croissant and was very pleased. The pastry itself was flaky and delicious, and the strawberry flavor went really well with the light pistachio paste inside. The layers softened after several hours because of the fresh berries inside, but it still tasted great. This place is popular for a reason! I can't wait to try their breads the next time I visit.

What the actual heck is this $15 cauliflower sandwich travesty to sandwich’s, especially theirs from 2020 and before…..barely cooked cauliflower with a massive dump of weird spread and a few pumpkin seeds….no pickles, lettuce or anythingHow or why is this $15 ?!?!?! SKIP IT ! Very nice lady at the window - sad that she’s dispensing such terrible sandwiches. Take it off the menu if you’re not going to put $15 into the dang thing. Unbelievable.

Crispy, buttery, flaky, crust! We love Seed and are obsessed! We've gone many times and have never been disappointed. Our absolute favorite is the almond croissant. These sell out quick! The earlier you go, the better. Another favorite is their quiche! You get a hefty slice filled with tons of seasonal vegetables, and again, a buttery, flaky, crust. My mouth waters every time I think of Seed and I will never say no!! Go and you'll find out!
