Pastries are really good here, the crossaints and the bread are really good. Family lives super close to tartine, so whenever my grandma has time, she’ll take us to tartine. Once I ordered the salmon and cream cheese sandwich. (Forgot if it had eggs) It was so good, and the smoked salmon melted in my mouth. I’ll come back soon!
I’ve been a longtime fan of the tartine in SF on Guererro. This is not quite the same, as there’s zero vibe at this location and the selection is sparse. It’s not cozy or inviting and doesn’t have a huge tantalizing display case to gawk over. Morning buns completely sell out for the day by 12 so I’m learning the only way to make sure you get what you need, is by ordering online.
I’ve been visiting Tartine for a few years when I’m visiting my relatives in the area. I have been going there because their cortado is excellent! However, I was so excited to see that they added a gluten free muffin to their menu. (Made with Teff) WOW! Best gf muffin I’ve had to date.
