“I had the most wonderful birthday celebration at The Langham Pasadena Lobby Lounge for afternoon tea with my husband. From the moment we stepped inside, the setting was absolutely stunning—elegant and beautifully adorned in soft pink tones that were just perfect.

The entire experience was exceptional. The sandwiches, teas, and desserts were all delicious, each bite and sip more delightful than the last. Our server, Margarita, was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect. She even surprised me with two different cakes to celebrate my birthday!

To top it all off, a live harpist played ‘Happy Birthday’ for me, which was such a magical and personal touch. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate. This was a truly unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special treat or celebration!”

Had a lovely experience at afternoon tea here. Such a charming space and loved the live music. The food wasn’t very memorable but it was still a nice experience.

We had a 2:30pm reservation, one of the last before afternoon tea ends. This could be why service was ok. We had to ask for the cream and lemon curd. They did not come out with the scones. It was listed on the menu, I don't understand why it didn't come out with the scones. The tea is poured for you, then placed on another table. You do not refill tea yourself. We received complimentary aperitif's because the food was taking longer than expected. That was a nice surprise. Food was ok, the desserts tasted like buffet desserts, scones were the best part, you get two!

Overall, this was a lovely experience. Unlike some other reviewers, we found the food very good. The scones were not the best I have ever had, which was at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, but they were very good, and they were not dry, and neither were the sandwiches. The service, however, was not what one would expect at $100 a person for afternoon tea, as others have noted. The Ritz in London on the other hand was great. Our reservation was for 2:45 pm with last service at 3 pm, although no one came after us. When we arrived there were maybe 4 other tables occupied, and we were the only people for the last 30 minutes, yet I had to get up and ask someone find our server, Kim, to tell her we would like more tea, and then when we finished eating we waited 15 minutes until I went to find someone to asked for the check so we could leave. I don't know where our server was or how long we would have had to wait if I had not gone in search of our bill. We intend to compare this experience with afternoon tea at the Langham in London in December and see how they compare.

The Langham is a beautiful experience. From the moment we parked the car everyone was very attentive. We were there for afternoon tea, unfortunately, the service was slow and a couple of times we had to serve our own tea, which is not the normal in this environment. The sandwiches and scones were delightful, but the desserts, not so much. Unfortunately, they did not look very appetizing and although we brought them home, none of us were very excited about them. I don't know if I would spend that money again for the tea. But I'll definitely return to the hotel.

Lovely time for Afternoon Tea. The room where the tea is served was decorated just as one would expect for tea service. Service was attentive and friendly. I wish they provided a stand for the tea pots that would allow us to pour our own tea without having to get up, or wait for the server to refill it. The scones with the Devonshire cream and lemon curd were delicious. The savory and sweet offerings were beautifully presented & all tasted good, but nothing memorable that set it apart from other tea services we've had elsewhere. Still a nice time and a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon in a beautiful hotel setting.

The food was delicious! It's been a long time since I've enjoyed tea here and I would return again. The experience is a 5/5, however, I gave a 4/5 stars because a very pesky fly landed on our food tower. The service was excellent and the server kindly replaced our sandwich that the fly landed on. After the second time the fly landed on our tower I gave up. I highly recommend the tea. I also recommend that they cover the towers with nets when needed. The harp player was excellent. However, the noise level was on the louder side because guests were trying to talk over the noise of the harp. Overall, I would come back again.

It started off well with the service. In the middle of the experience, we were served the wrong teas. We ordered 3 pots, one for each person... regardless, it went downhill. We waited 30 mins in the valet for our car after checking in with staff. We prompted them after waiting so long, they finally admitted to losing our key. They had us wait another 30... and well, they have to replace our key. If we never prompted them, were they planning to let us wait and never tell us???

Everything about the experience was lovely except for the food; it did not equal the rest of the experience. The hotel is beautiful; wait staff exceptional; room and view outstanding; lovely live background music. Sorry the food was so-so.

Party of 8. They put us in front of the bar on a fold out table. Zero ambiance. They can do a better job accommodating a larger party on the lower level easily, but didn't. $800 we won't get back.

We went to tea for our anniversary. We arrived early and were seated right away in a table right by the window. The lounge chairs were comfortable, the harp music was beautiful, the service was excellent. Oh, and the tea was good, too! They gave us a complimentary dessert that said “Happy Anniversary.” So unexpected but a wonderful ending to a lovely experience celebrating 33 years together.

I booked to have tea with three of my closest friends for one of my best friend's birthday. From the moment out of our car to the tea time to the conclusion, the entire experience was so well orchestrated. The service was pristine and en pointe. We never felt rushed or as an in convenience. All the staff from check in and to being served tea and the check, it was all tastefully at perfect timing. I truly appreciate Langham Huntington Tea Lounge staff for their amazing hospitality. If you are trying to spend a special occasion with your loved ones, I would say this place and this service is worth the pretty penny.

The afternoon tea seats for the five of us were on sofas, which were relatively low, so it was a bit inconvenient to eat. There were many kinds of refreshments and snacks, and they were very beautiful. The scones were delicious. We ordered three kinds of tea, and they all tasted good. The waiters kept making us happy. We refilled the tea and the service was good.

Let me start by saying that I go to tea at least two times a month at various locations. It's always a treat to try a new place. Overall, the experience was good however a few things to note. There is an automatic service charge of 20%. Had I realize that I would have tipped differently. There were two people in our party so he ended up getting $100 from our table in Tips alone. In some cases that would be fine. But I would expect extraordinary service. We had to pour our own tea multiple times. We had to remind him to do things on two or three occasions. We also paid for parking at a discounted rate due to paying for tea. Expect to pay $15. The tea choices are extremely poor and for this reason alone, I would not return. If I'm going to pay $200 per person (We did the Royal pkg) by the time all the charges are done I expect to have an array of quality choices at teatime. Hotel is nice, but I wasn't staying there. I paid for teatime. Sorry Langham!
