Our two servers were excellent. Belvaneda described our afternoon tea options and we chose the noble tea option. When the scones arrived, Belvaneda described the two flavors and then when the rest of the food arrived, she described each pair of them. We got to choose two different teas with an option to change them if we wanted to later on. We chose the cherry blossom and the mountain berry and ended up sticking with the mountain berry. Belvaneda and her partner kept our tea cups full. The views from our sofa was stunning. The orchids and other flowers were beautiful. And the piano player, played happy birthday to one of the guests having a birthday celebration 😀. Belvaneda gave us a version of strawberry shortcake for our anniversary. That was so sweet of her. Thank you Langham for making our special day memorable.
I consider myself quite the Tea connoisseur, enthusiast, and steepster (insert cheeky laugh). We had made reservations through OpenTable to try this place out some time ago. Upon arrival, be prepared to valet your car. The lovely entrance welcomes you to a special day.. It's the perfect setting for your Afternoon Tea. Tables down in the (I call it) Solarium portion of the Lobby Lounge are made up of the traditional 2 or 4 tops - combining a couch with 2 chairs and your Afternoon Tea spread placed on a coffee table. Excellent scones - moist and never crumbled when we spread the lemon curd and clotted cream on them. I would say the sandwiches were perfect! The bread was so soft, and the fillings were plentiful. My favorite was, by far, the Chicken Salad. They prepare Tea Leaves (out of Canada) Tea OMG!!! The Vanilla Earl Grey and the Thunderbolt Darjeeling have always been my favorites from Tea Leaves, and I was thrilled to see them here. I'm excited to return! Respectfully Reviewed.
Honestly felt overcharged. There wasn't that much food on the tiered tower and expecting a tip on top of a 20% surcharge is greedy.
The ambience was really great. The hotel is beautiful and the property grounds are absolutely stunning. The tea room was also very pretty. The food was nothing special. I'm very overpriced. We did the classic package and there was two of us and it was plenty of food, but the price is outrageous for what you get. This is a one time experience. It's not something that I'll be going back to do again.
Love this place and service was amazing! I've been to the hotel many times for their brunches, but the tea was a nice experience. We had a view side table and they gave us each roses for Mother's Day. Nice touch!
Extremely disappointing. I've been to tea at two other Langham locations (Sydney and Boston) and had wonderful experiences at both. The service was terrible. The food was not good. We didn't eat most of it and we are not picky eaters. But at least it was expensive.
I've noticed throughout the years, the food quality has gone down. Tea sandwiches and scones were dry . Nothing extraordinary about the sweet desserts. Selection of teas was good. For context, I have been going to Afternoon Tea at the Langham at least once or twice a year.
We had a lovely time but the food was lacking in flavor, sandwiches where bland, scones where hard and dry even the desserts lacked flavor. Sadly I won't be going back it's a beautiful hotel and the staff are so gracious but for the price it's not worth it.
Lovely tea experience— delicious offerings. Would highly recommend for a treat. Excellent service and high quality food. Thankyou!
My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Everything was delicious and the service couldn't have been better.

Perfection. The hotel is gorgeous. Beautiful gardens that we walked around in after our tea. I took my mother for her birthday. Not only did they make her feel special, they had incredible vegan options for me and a special kiddo menu for my five year old son. Absolutely lovely.
Wonderful afternoon tea at a posh hotel in Pasadena. Sandwiches and sweet treats were magnificent. Our server Margarita was so nice and knowledge about the teas being served. A definite nice birthday splurge. Everything was just lovely.
Truly a magnificent experience. The Langham is a treasure, and the tea experience is one of a kind
We had been here for tea in the past and the experiences used to be good. This latest visit was beyond disappointing. Upon entering, we could smell the chemical odors from the remodeling at the adjacent bar, and it lingered throughout the space. The service was not rude but very amateur. Then the food was truly horrific! What happened guys? My kid makes better sandwiches. The scones looked and tasted like plastic. Afterwards I was sad that I hadn't gone to McD's instead.
At $118 per person (because the tip is mandatory) the tea at the Langham is simply, robbery. Our table was tiny and uncomfortable. No place to put your purse if it can't hang from the chair and no suggestions or accommodations from the hostess who couldn't care less. For this elevated amount you get a lot of bread with translucent fillings. I could understand if the fillings were expensive but the cucumber sandwich had only a suggestion of cream cheese and the 2 thinnest cucumbers you've ever seen. Not even good enough to put on your eyes at a spa. In fact, Burke Williams has thicker cut cucumbers. it was my birthday and the two desserts they gave me tasted like freezer. Please avoid this swindle.
