Our two servers were excellent. Belvaneda described our afternoon tea options and we chose the noble tea option. When the scones arrived, Belvaneda described the two flavors and then when the rest of the food arrived, she described each pair of them. We got to choose two different teas with an option to change them if we wanted to later on. We chose the cherry blossom and the mountain berry and ended up sticking with the mountain berry. Belvaneda and her partner kept our tea cups...
I consider myself quite the Tea connoisseur, enthusiast, and steepster (insert cheeky laugh). We had made reservations through OpenTable to try this place out some time ago. Upon arrival, be prepared to valet your car. The lovely entrance welcomes you to a special day.. It's the perfect setting for your Afternoon Tea. Tables down in the (I call it) Solarium portion of the Lobby Lounge are made up of the traditional 2 or 4 tops - combining a couch with 2 chairs and your Afternoon...
The ambience was really great. The hotel is beautiful and the property grounds are absolutely stunning. The tea room was also very pretty. The food was nothing special. I'm very overpriced. We did the classic package and there was two of us and it was plenty of food, but the price is outrageous for what you get. This is a one time experience. It's not something that I'll be going back to do again.
