Overall, this was a lovely experience. Unlike some other reviewers, we found the food very good. The scones were not the best I have ever had, which was at the Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh, but they were very good, and they were not dry, and neither were the sandwiches. The Langham is a beautiful experience.  From the moment we parked the car everyone was very attentive. We were there for afternoon tea, unfortunately, the service was slow and a couple of times we had to serve our own tea, which is not the normal in this environment.
