I feel bad saying this, but #1 worst tacos I've ever had, with the worst tortillas... by far. I even felt embarrassed for them when I found out they had a separate entity for their "Mexican" food (as a Mexican, I had to put that in quotes. Islands is good, though, for their burgers.
I like the tuna sandwich here. So when I'm near an Islands on the road, I usually stop by for a meal. Was in Pasadena for a couple of nights and this was my first night out dinner. I like the atmosphere. It's surfer, sports bar style. They also have lunch specials. Servers are cordial. This location is in a large strip mall in a neighborhood called Hastings Ranch.
My husband and I go here for date night, preferably in the bar. The staff is fantastic, the food is great and we always have a marvelous time. When all of our children were little we sat in the restaurant section at a large table and always had a great experience.
