I see why Eater rated this one of the best restaurants in Pasadena. Our waitress was lovely and the food was very good. We had the Brussel sprout salad, bread with pickled vegetables (excellent), meatballs (my husband really liked them and I saw a lot of tables with them), the lobster pasta and the pork ragu pasta. I very much liked the pork ragu. I was happy to have followed the Eater's recommendation.

Small, upscale spot with seasonal Italian-inspired dishes. The pasta is always fresh and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is intimate and romantic. Service is very attentive. A great date night option.

Rustic Italian food served family-style, perfectly cooked al dented pasta, gigantic meatballs, and spicy, tomatoey red sauce provide the foundation for a fun, boisterous, and delicious dinner.

As a bonus, they have a nice selection of somewhat-less-well-known Italian wines by the glass.

The service is both friendly and polished. Union is definitely a place you'll want to visit again.

The food was delicious, and brought to us quickly after ordering. Our waitress was attentive and personable. If you want to spend some coin on excellent Italian food, this could be your next visit.

A bit disappointing...$24 glass of wine that was more like a $10 happy hour glass of wine at a less trendy place...pork meatballs...large if you're into quantity...but fair.

Noisy place, which is trendy in the area. The food is rich but not for as much either and the prices are expensive. The place has dining options outside and, inside, has two different lounges. Definitely if I came back I'd ask to sit in the furthest. The decor of the place has nothing special, very simple and bland. There are only 2 unisex bathrooms. We pay USD 100 x person.

Absolutely delicious dinner with great service. Even sitting outside is cosy. We had the bread with giardinera and salted butter (great bread), the meatballs (oddly smoky), and an arugula salad (huge, may have needed a bit more lemon as we all commented on it and the bottom with more lemon was the best part). Two people ordered the squid ink and lobster pasta and enjoyed it. Two of us shared the spaghetti and meatballs, and the campanelle. The spaghetti and meatballs was huge, but as mentioned above, the meatballs are smoky and it wasn't our favorite. The garlic bread was very cheesy and only toasted on one side so I actually don't think anyone liked it. However, the campanelle was so delicious. The pasta was fantastic and the pork ragu was so good. We really enjoyed the fried rosemary.

Our waiter was great at recommending a glass of wine, knowing exactly how to describe each of the ones we were considering.

We have been there 4 years ago and really enjoyed.
This time was really bed experience with the food .
The tuna tartare was unable to eaten!
Not clean and with Tendons that stuck in the tooth.
The burrata was very sad dish and very salty the fuccacia is less than half whole one is only 4 small pieces .
The Analoti , The filling fell apart and the sauce broke as we were eating bad butter.
Since I ate there, I've been suffering from severe nausea at home.
Really bed experience for this restaurant after long time that we accepted to come from San Fernando valley.

This is a great restaurant for gatherings with family and friends.
We went on a Monday evening and had made an online reservation, so there was no wait when we arrived.
The hostess at the front was very nice, and we were able to get a seat outdoors just like we hoped.

Our server was patient and took the time to explain the menu, even recommending a delicious appetizer.

We ordered two pasta dishes:
One was squid ink lumache and the other was a name ends with Pepe.

Overall, everything was really good.
The portions were on the smaller side, which was actually nice because it allowed us to try more flavors.

The drinks were also well-made — the house-made Italian grapefruit soda was especially refreshing.

All in all, we’d definitely come back to try other dishes next time.

I enjoyed the idea that you can share plates and which was great because we could order from each category. The lamb was excellent. Next time I won't share the lamb.

I really liked the stoned fruit salad. For the three other dishes I ate, I can’t really say much about them. Nothing special to brag about.
