Amazing food. We got the bolognese, cacio e Pepe and the carbonara. The food was so so good. Amazing flavors and the pasta was so fresh and had a perfect texture. My only complaint is the tiramisu, I felt it was a little too heavy-creamy, but I think that’s just me. Meat is good quality too! Long time waiting for it but totally worth it!

A treasure nestled in the back of a courtyard. Hand made pasta flown in from Italy daily. Saw an ad for this place in the program of a show I attended at the Pasadena playhouse. They had me at “flown in daily from Italy” … I’ve been to Italy and the pasta IS different because we don’t have the same ingredients available in the US. This place did not disappoint. Not only was it delicious, it was affordable. I don’t understand how you can fly in pasta from another country daily and only charge $18 for an entree? But I’m not going to complain! We sat at the bar, and were able to watch the chefs prepare our food. It’s a cozy and vibrant atmosphere and the food is amazing.

My dad who turned 75 wanted Italian food and we finished hiking Eaton Canyon so we arrived hungry. Our server explained the menu and that the pasta is made fresh in Italy which arrives overnight made with the simplest ingredients. We ordered 5 pasta dishes: Amatriciana, Crema di Parmigiano, Tagliatelle in truffle sauce, Lasagna, and ricotta ravioli, along with a few appetizers and all of them were delicious! Their portion size is for one, so if you want to have a lot of food, I’d recommend ordering several dishes to share. They offer indoor and outdoor seating with a more intimate dining experience inside and pasta bar. Great experience and great wine.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Staff was amazing! The pasta and food... oh my... I would not be back (see comments under what I ordered).AMBIANCE + AESTHETICS: Casual. Noise level is average. The table we were seated at was legit in front of the door to the restroom. Granted, it's a sliding door to go inside that leads to two additional doors to the bathroom... but still... this was not appealing. There are also two LARGE olive trees, with the branches overflowing into the walk way to the bathroom, which caused EVERYONE to duck, or to posture away from it. Highly recommend to rearrange this! The aesthetics of the place is very nice though!DRESS CODE: Smart CasualORDERED: Since it was our first time, we wanted to try a little bit of everything, and the tasting menu is your best option! Each person gets a generous amount per dish. We selected the Tasting Menu: Cheese & Truffle.- Yellowtail Crudo: yellowtail was fresh but the olive oil OH MY! waaaaaay too much! it overpowered the yellowtail and other flavors!- Tagliatelle in truffle sauce: prob the best pasta of the three we had. Pasta was perfectly prepared to al dente and the truffle sauce was delicious!- Pomodoro: this wasn't bad, but there was no wow factor. there was way too much sauce for amount of pasta (and I love extra sauce on my pasta!)- Cacio e Pepe: HOLD THE SALT PLEASE! this was by far, not my fave dish. too salty and just inedible. I took a total of two bites and had to leave the rest.- Tiramisu al cucchiaio: not bad, but just as the other dishes, no wow factor.- Unsweetened ice tea: came in your own individual carafe.SERVICE: Service was great!PRICE: ~ $40+ ppPARKING: There is a structure behind the building, but will cost you (as well as direct street parking). The food was delicious! The pasta freshly made. The service was outstanding! They only charge a 16% fee to help the restaurant/staff, no tip. I felt it wasn’t enough so I wanted to also give a tip and was told no tip needed the check was closed. I highly recommend this restaurant.
