Guac was old and slimy. Meat was poor quality. Everything on the website is listed like $2 cheaper than it is in person

A really great Mexican restaurant that has all the classics. The quality of the food is really good, it tastes delicious, nice portions, and well presented. The interior is like a pub and seems like a good place for happy hour. The service is great and food comes out quick. Overall a fantastic option for Mexican food.

1st time going. It was empty and dismal. Food came out really quick. The rice was soggy, the carne asada taco, the meat wasn't grilled, seemed to have been boiled first, then lightly sautéed. It was very bland. The potato taco was another failure, potato was really dense and room temperature. The crispy tortilla shell, served broken.
They replaced the potato taco with an urbano taco, which wad really just a blob of guacamole on top of some slightly sautéed chilies, again, no flavor. My partner had a carnitas gordita, the pork was dry and flavorless. Everything just seemed pre made where all they had to do was heat up and plate, good indication of this was how fast the food came out. Oh well, at least we tried it and now we know.

I’ve eaten here twice over the course of a year. It wasn’t good the first time, so gave it another chance before reviewing. Both times the dining room was deserted and the staff seemed a little surprised we were even there at dinner hour.

Got the pork chile verde burrito (not wet) this time and it was not good. Tortilla was soggy and thick, meat was cool and tasteless. Rice and beans were also just as tasteless. Everything was so greasy/oily.
To me, it all tasted like it had been frozen for some time and reheated to serve. If I wanted that, I should have just bought a frozen chimichanga at Vons next door because I wound up getting a stomach ache that night.

Los Angeles arguably has the best Mexican food this side of the border. With all of those stands, food trucks and restaurants just within a couple miles of this location, I would go elsewhere.

By far the worst Mexican food (if you could even call it that) I've ever had. The cheese enchiladas were tasteless mini quesadillas made with dry cold thick taco tortillas, the green sauce was so acidic it was the only thing I could taste. The beans and rice tasted like nothing. Just use some spices for the love of God. The meal was as sad as the atmosphere inside.

Love this little local spot. It's family owned, authentic food with a healthy twist and always enjoyable! I love the tacos, nachos and the drinks during happy hour as well as the fact that they play sports so my husband can be entertained ?

I made a casual visit the mini mall across Huntington Hospital in Pasadena the other day. I wanted to eat a bowl of PHO' (Vietnamese hot bowl of beef noodle but they were closed of the midday break afternoon). So I tool a few more explorations of the neighbors store and I entered Urbano restaurant for lunch. The lady owner greeted me right away upon seeing my enter'.g through the entrance. I lived 10 yrs. in the Hispanic's neighborhood of Covina, CA before so this is not a surprise at all.But in this well-to-do Pasadena Mall, it considered to be strange. since Most not ALL the Pasadena residents are very shy and unconcerned of the outsiders. They are cold and showing no feeling/talking intention when I started asking some questions. info. about their City. I ordered my lunch at table and within 3 minutes my tacos came. Fast since this was the late Happy hour of Urbano. A + point : They gave free small basket of tortillas as snacks to me too. ( I didn't drink Beer/ wine which are the only alcohols Urbano offers in this restaurant's daily menu.) The owner and her sister are fast servicing me as I expected. Fish tacos are fresh, ok 4 pts. ( 5 max pts. only for Laurel Canyon's "Guarajahazara?" restaurant of No HO.) Everything of Urbano Ceviche services are good. That's all for this 4-* ratings today!

Parking: right in front door of Urbano is a big Park' lot but be careful and park the vehicles slowly with care: the park' spots are small/narrow.
