I paid $20 for 8 oz of brisket and ended up with 4 oz of pure fat. So disappointed and won't be back. Extremely pricey place. It's $2.50 for a piece of toast and $10 for a plate of fat. I mean, I understand SOME but when you see it, try to cut it so that each customer gets a BIT rather than half the plate being fat. Don't go here folks. Honestly not sure how they're in business.
Positive notes: the woman who took our order was wonderful and the portion of my brisket that was meat was delish. Also, cute decor.

This place is a absolute Over priced tourist trap. Some of the worst inedible bbq I’ve ever had and approximately named “ bad bbq “ The server was nice but do yourself a favor and skip this dirty dive.

Visiting here from Austin Texas and went next door from our hotel to get something to eat. Bubba's BBQ was packed but we were attended to with no waiting. This place was cheerful with lots of bright colorful lighting. The young lady that took our order was very knowledgeable and friendly and the manager came over while we were waiting and asked us if we needed anything else. Our food came really fast and it was delicious! I recommend Bubba's to any visitors or Paso Robles locals.

The decor was unique! There was a water feature you had to cross, and a couple of the tables were inside jail cells! The place wasn't very busy, so we were a bit surprised that the lady working at the counter took so long to wait on us. We opted to share a meal that consisted of 4 ribs, brisket, fries, and a side salad. The ribs were burnt and definitely tasted that way. There is signage at the table telling you to bus your own table, yet there's a jar for tips at the cash register. Perhaps we would have had the service been exceptional and the food better!

Food was okay, but got attitude from the staffing when asking about parking area. Sign saying 40.00$ parking with no indication of where to pay or for what it was for. Very miss lieading.

I have mixed thoughts on this place. The lady at the counter was honestly kind of rude. The tri-tip was OK. The brisket was overly fatty and dry, the ribs where really good, the beans where ok, the Cole slaw was bland. Only one offering for bbq sauce which wad good but sweet. So if you like different they didn't offer or give it.

This place was one of my favorites as a kid. Recently, I brought my wife and kids there and couldn't have been more disappointed. The food was horrific and the portions were ridiculously small compared to how this place had served their dishes in the past. Three small plates cost over a hundred dollars. I will never come back again. My wife and kids said the food looked like dog food. Do not waste your money especially for larger families. If I could vote 0 stars, I would have.

Soooo good. Casual dining spot we drive 35 minutes to enjoy the best Tri Tip sandwich we have ever tasted.

Kid-friendliness: Fun place. Dine in a jail cell, ride a bucking bronco.

Brisket was point but dry which shows it was a low quality beef (possibly USDA select).
The brisket received too much dirty smoke which made it unbalanced in addition to the the dry consistency, strangly there was very little smoke ring so the smoke must have been really dark tasted like almond wood possisbly apple wood.
The ribs were better with good flavoring.

Probably would visit again to give them another chance. I had seen good reviews but my experience did not reflect what others said.

We stopped here June 8th around 4pm? This isnt a restaurant, this might as well be a fast food joint. You order your $20+ meal, pay and they ask for a TIP first, but YOU get your own drinks, find your own seat and over the loud speaker they call your name followed by “come get it”. You bus your own table. I asked my wife why we bothered to tip when we did ALL of the work, just like fast food?! Never once saw a “waitress”. This place has changed, we won’t be returning. All that aside the tri-tip was soft but it needed sauce from lack of seasoning, my wife refused to eat the brisket, said it tasted off like it’s been sitting out for a while, and the sausage was basically pre packaged stuff you can buy at Walmart, just boiled to temp and served with a 1/2 a cup of dipping sauce. The overall experience was pretty disappointing and way over priced for what you get with it.

Loved the brisket. It was a good-sized portion, very tender, juicy, and excellent flavor. I did not love their sides - beans, coleslaw, macoroni salad, toast. I was looking for something like baked or mashed potatoes. I paid extra for Mac & Cheese, but It was a small portion and not worth the additional charge.
