is this one of the only sit-down, non-pizza italian restaurants in like a 30 mile radius? yes, but it's really good regardless of their lack of competition. my partner and i have been in here several times and this is our go-to for when our parents visit. the staff is friendly and professional, the pasta is to die for, and they have a decent wine selection. definitely priced for more special occasions but they have a great deal on wine every wednesday!

Great food and wine. They need to have Yelp update the information as they no longer deliver or so take out for dinner

Made reservations here while visiting Paso Robles. Parking was not an issue. Lots of street parking. Upon arriving you see they have a very limited outdoor seating area. The hostess sat us promptly. Our server was very nice and attentive. They serve free bread, classic white style bread and focaccia with olive tapenade. That's always a plus! The white bread was too salty but the focaccia and tapenade was delicious. We ordered the tortiglioni del buon gustaio, fettuccine al sugo di carni miste, and the pappardelle alla san pietro. The eggplant pasta was cooked really well but it was also too salty. My cousin said the texture of the meat in the fettuccine was an odd texture but the pasta and sauce was very flavorful. The best dish we ordered was the pappardelle. The wide noodles were delicious and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. For desserts we ordered the apple tart and chocolate soufflé. Unfortunately, the apple tart was undercooked so it was very mushy and cold. It was disappointing because the apples and flavor was really good but the middle was legit mushy. However, the soufflé was really good!! The raspberry sauce complimented the chocolate really well. Overall, my experience was just okay. I would dine here again to try different dish.

My fiancé and I absolutely loved this place! The restaurant is a great place to go on for dates and special occasions! The pasta here is some of the best pasta I've ever had. We've tried a lot of things on the menu and they are all so good! Our favorite is the tortilleni with eggplant and the seafood special! They also have wine Wednesdays where you can purchase a bottle of wine over $50 for half the price. The service is excellent and would highly recommend coming here!

Locals told us about this restaurant, and once we tried it, we understood why. Great waite staff and excellent food. And Wednesdays are half price for a bottle of wine. Such a great find.

We came here for dinner on a busy Friday evening. I'd strongly recommend having a reservation ahead of time; we had an early 6 PM reservation and it was still completely full. We got the eggplant appetizer, the chicken entree, and the pumpkin tortellini, as well as two glasses of wine. Every item we got tasted amazing and the service was wonderful. Will definitely recommend it again and would love to drop by when we are in the area.

Excellent service, food authentic, and ambiance on point. Downtown Paso Robles is ideal location for this quaint Italian find.

They continue to hold the bar very high for our local restaurants. We've lived here for 15+ years and the food is always great as is the service.

Stopped here on a whim! We were in line and lucky enough to get a table since reservations are highly recommended. This house packed place serves some delicious and unique pasta dishes and an amazing selection of cocktails and wine. It's so retro 80's and the clientele looks like they have been coming here for years! Which tells me it's going to be a great meal!!! I probably won't be back...but you should definitely make a trip here. Just make sure you make a reservation!

Excellent food and excellent service! We didn't want to eat TOO much as we had a few more spots planned for some evening cocktails, so we only ordered a primi each, but they were both delectable and rich and we ended up sharing and swapping bites until the end. We ordered the night's special risotto which included shrimp, scallops, sweet onions, radicchio (added such a nice bitter bite!), and gorgonzola. It was phenomenal and incredibly rich that I left fully satisfied. We also ordered the shrimp agnolotti in a savory saffron sauce and holy moses--it was creamy, sumptuous, and my favorite of the two, but only by a small margin. Our server was friendly and attentive and there was always additional waitstaff bustling about to refill bread and drinks (the complimentary bread & olive tapenade was tasty, too!). 5 stars all around. I would recommend securing a reservation in advance (available online). The place was packed on a Tuesday evening at 5:30 PM, so, it's clear this is a favorite place for tourists and even some locals mentioned they come here for special occasions.

Second time here. The five stars is for the food. The food here is delicious and insane. We both finished our plates, left nothing there. However, our 2nd time here. We had an issue with our reservation. We asked for outside dining only. The hostess told us the next available table would be at 9pm. Our reservation was at 7:45. Instead of coming up with a solution at first. After we kept chatting 20 minutes later. The offer of an outside table was given and set up on the sidewalk. Definitely be back for the food.

Wow! What can I say? Starting with the bar, one of the best Manhattans I've ever had! The menu was fabulous and diverse. I had the Caesar Salad . Looked a bit different and had sardines instead of the traditional anchovies. Had some chopped tomatoes too. I was skeptical but it was so tasty! I had the Pesto gnocchi (which don't really photograph well) and my husband had the shrimp and mushroom risotto. We could not decide whose was better, but we ate the whole plate!!! Finished with the custard topped with caramel and chocolate. I'm so full, but so satisfied! And the service cannot be forgotten. Excellent service from servers to all the wait staff. Highly recommend as a must go to next time you're in Paso Robles!
