We visited Calcareous in early February. This winery is beautiful, with truly amazing views. The best part was Nate. He had an excitement and passion for their wines that was contagious! We would definitely recommend going to this Vinyard and ask for Nate.

It was our first time here and celebrated one of our sister’s milestone birthday on a Saturday. We sat outside since the weather was perfect. The view, food and service were all amazing. Our host Erik has provided a stellar customer service, thank you for making our sister’s birthday a memorable one!

If you are in Paso or the surrounding areas, Calcareous is a must visit tasting room. The wine is delicious and they have a good variety. The view is breathtaking. The food is great. The staff and service is exceptional. They are knowledgeable and kind. On top of all of that, the atmosphere is relaxed. It is a great place to spend some time drinking amazing wine, eating good food, and having a lot of laughs.

The Calcareous vineyard sits on top of the Calcareous limestone, that's how it got its name. The food choices for vegetarians.is limited but we found a few things. A full cheese charcuterie board -had to ask them to hold off the salami, but they brought it anyways. The server took it back and got us a new one. Then we go a plate of olives, apple and pear salad and couple of grilled cheese sandwiches with soup and salad. That worked out for us. They added the mushrooms for us in the grilled cheese. That turned out to be pretty good! We had a few wine enthusiasts with us. They did some tasting and bought a bottle of Tres Violet. They liked that wine a lot! Note that since the vineyard is on limestone, it has a distinct taste.

Have been coming to Paso for many years and this was our first visit to Calcareous Winery. The wines are excellent and the views just as great, the food is on par with the wines! Hats off to the chef.Highly recommend a visit here. I have been to many wineries in around Paso but this place checks all the boxes. Don’t miss having a lunch here you won’t regret it. What a wonderful surprise we had at this winery. First, the views were amazing! Service by Erik was top notch... friendly young man who knows his wines. Thank you for introducing us to Moose. Yes, it does smell like a barnyard but one sip and we knew we found a yummy wine. Speaking of yum... order the burrata. It was so good and unique that I'm bound and determined to recreate this for Thanksgiving dinner! The burger. Amazing... should have ordered one each but...next time.Wine... so awesome ... experience a 10!
