A great elevated distillery experience! They have a wide variety of liqueurs and spirits. Well worth trying all the samples. Located along Ramada Row which makes for a "must stop" as it offers a different venue from the boutique wineries. The distillery is also a participant of the San Luis Obispo Distillery Trail and to get the copper card nail punched adds a bit of class to the experience! The orange liqueurs are great! The smoked Big Sur whiskey takes whiskey to a whole new level! The Navy strength rum definitely has a kick and I recommend all Navy veterans give this a try lol! They also do make a variety of different cocktails.
CalWise spirits takes whiskey, gin, and rum to another level. I tried a whiskey that had the most amazing aroma.Not only are their spirits top shelf, but the tasting room is a wonderful experience.You must try the single malt whiskey.
Tried their white rum as I live down the street from them and was suggested by a lady at store that stocked them, by far the worst rum I have ever drank. Disgusting smells of a tequila mixed with a strong agricole, salt flavor upfront to a burnt caramel-esque, which burns into a rotting papaya that lasts for about ten seconds to a long lasting horrid finish all with a rubbing alcohol or ethanol riding with it.

Leo was a great guide! They make a fantastic range of gins and a single malt whiskey that is to die for. Wish they could ship out of state.
