It is a great place to stop by and try some unique wines and ciders!
A girls weekend in Paso started with a patio tasting at Lone Madrone. Our server Mary walked us through some history and info on their dry farming and organic practices behind their wines. We tasted five wines and their English Bristols cider. My favs were the 2022 Estate Zinfandel and the 2022 Old Hat. I loved the fact that the winemaker's son designed the gorgeous label for the Zin, featuring a wreath of the cover crop they use in their organic vineyards. I got a bottle and once it's empty, I have plans to put some twinkly lights in it.
It was disappointing that although the winery confirmed with our organizer that they had lunch available at the time of our Friday visit (we did have a reserved tasting reservation), it turned out that they were not serving lunch that day! But it ended up working out - we drove down the road and had an outstanding lunch with great cocktails at Barton's Kitchen.
Great service. The wines were nice. Didn't try the foot but it smelled spectacular
Wines were decent, but we didn't end up buying any. Winetender was nice. Location was great and super inviting.
Wonderful wines and dry English style ciders.
Absolutely Phenomenal location. Mary provides incredible & knowledgeable service. It’s a real treat to have English cider in Spanish influenced wine country here on the 46 in SLO county.
I love it here, although Bristol’s is no more, Lone Madrone took extreme care to preserve the vibrations and integrity from those ciders we all drank so many of in Atascadero.
Lone Madrone and their Bristol’s Cider what a pair, Neil and Jordan and the whole team. From a humble chef in the Paso community: everyone loves y’all.
Wish you the best always, regular for life.
Had such a wonderful tasting with Mary, we came back the next day for a pairing of bites and wines with Nicole. Exceptional experience. Chef Jeffrey’s food was perfectly paired and Nicole was very knowledgeable without being condescending. Allowed us to discover the effects of different foods on different wines. Even the”black glass” quiz at the end was illuminating. Will be back with our wine friends.
I was tasting here the other day and had an opportunity to try some really good wine. Years ago I met "Neil" who is the owner and winemaker. I was impressed with his skill and knowledge of wine. He is also a passionate advocate for dry farming and biodynamic practices in the vineyard. He has a very good operation and a talented staff. "Mary" was the individual who attended to my tasting. She was knowledgeable, charming, and engaging. My tasting was one of the best I have had over the years. Neil's wine doesn't necessarily come cheap but if you are adventurous and like interesting and nuanced wine made from grapes that are grown by passionate growers this is your place
Fantastic staff who absolutely know their wines and are so passionate about the work they do. Wine is very affordable and also the tasting is worth the money.
Also they are a really fun time. Eat the food, it’s excellent.
We had a wonderful time at the Lone Madrone Tasting Room. The wine was really good, and the experience was enjoyable. On Saturdays and Sundays, they serve delicious food from Kitchen 46. We especially loved the burgers, and the lamb burger was fantastic. The wines were excellent too; we particularly enjoyed the rosé. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They provided lots of useful information about the wines. We definitely plan to visit again.

Lone Madrone is my favorite winery in Paso. I have yet to have a wine from them that I don’t enjoy. Their reds are on the lighter bodied side for Paso, but are still packed with great flavors that are very distinct from one variety to the next. There are phenomenal red blends on the menu, and their Pernat is probably my favorite sparkling wine
I’ve had. The staff are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the location is great as well.
Definitely stop in if you’re in town for tastings!
Good wine tasting.
We enjoyed our time and the wines.
We are so happy to have visited this place on our first visit to Paso Robles. We brought our dog and sat inside. The service was impeccable. We walked away with 6 bottles. We plan to come back on our next visit.
Great service, but the wines didn't blow out skirts up.
