Excellent tasting visit with a large group of 10. The wines are very well made and aged primarily in neutral oak. Demonstrates a more mature and balanced take on the Paso Robles experience.
Lovely tasting area with knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended.
We spent a very enjoyable 90 minutes tasting a broad range of Rhone style wines. Our server led us through the wine flight with extensive commentary comparing the wines on the flight. Since this was our first visit to the Paso region we found this educational approach to the tasting extremely helpful and was very useful as we visited other wineries in the area. I would highly recommend a visit to Tablas Creek to anyone visiting this area
My wife and I had a great experience at Tablas Creek - Jules was our server and offered an excellent story of the vineyard and the wines we enjoyed. Picked up a bottle of En Gobelet to enjoy later!
Love the owners they were super passionate about their wine and the business! Very knowledgeable about wine. Tried my first red wine here.
Another couple joined us at Tablas Creek last week. I was eagerly anticipating these highly ranked wines. Sadly NONE of the wines in our tasting app appealed to any of us. They all left an unpleasant dry mouth feel. We had also hoped for something like crackers to accompany our tasting but noting was available on the menu nor even for sale in the gift store. I especially was hoping to try their Mourvèdre, my favorite varietal. But they would not open a bottle for me to taste. I went ahead and bought two with high hopes, but their Mourvèdre was weak and not typical of a good Mourvèdre. I would not have purchased it had I tasted it. I went on reputation but it sadly failed us.
What could be better than great wines, great environment and great company‽ Our server had answers to our every question and was knowledgeable about every grape variety on property! Though, I do wish reputable wineries like this would add atleast one NA item that isnt water to their offerings, the DD of our group had a decidedly worse time having nothing to drink but water. I think adding some NA options would make this winery even better than it ready is
Great last minute tasting experience. Matt was so very accommodating and we loved the different tasting flight options. There were 4 of us and so we all got to sample so many great wines. Highly recommend this property and tasting experience and the wines!
My girlfriends and I spent the most delightful tasting at Tablas Creek with our host Heidi. The wine was wonderful- but the service was exceptional. She was fun, knowledgeable, and made the experience absolutely delightful. We can’t wait to come back!
First time visitors, we went on the vineyard tour and tasting with Pixie -- the other 7 people were repeat visitors. The best vineyard tour I have been on, very engaging and informative. Loved the tasting experience -- very clean wines. Need to return to buy lamb, olive oil and wine. Loved seeing all the innovative techniques on the property and all the fruit trees. Highlight of our trip. BONUS tip, park at the tasting room for the start of the vine tour. You can also buy some grape vines to plant at your estate.
My best friend and I had an incredible time tasting the wines at Tablas Creek Vineyard. The winery clearly cares about its craft, really prioritizing consumer education as well as sustainability. The wines are delicate, pure, and complex. We had the pleasure of having Lizzy as our server, and she was so kind, informative, and knowledgeable. She was a true gem and helped to make the experience complete, answering any and all questions and thoroughly explaining the notes of the wines as well as giving detailed information about Tablas Creek itself.

beautiful drive to get to this gorgeous location. had a great tasting session, where I got to ask so many questions and receive in-depth answers-- everything from the history of Rhone style wines to the science of limestone ! I also highly recommend drinking their water, it is the best water I have ever had.
Joined this winery in 2022 ::: shhh, my first winery membership anywhere ever at age 62 ::: and it’s been incredible. I’ve literally tasted around the world and TCV stole my heart. It only continues to get better. The wine. The people. The atmosphere. The attitude. The goals. I regrettably can only get in a visit to the vineyard tasting room about twice a year (I reside in CO) but this place just keeps me coming back for more.
One of the original grape vine importer from France to California back in history. They also practice ultra organic farming
This should be a stop on everyone’s list when going to Paso Robles today’s wine. The regenerative farming techniques are incredible. Great to see the animals working on the farm. Staff is very well trained. There is an EV hook up with a trickle charge, which was super helpful to give us a few miles until we got back to Paso to charge up.
Our visit to Tablas Creek Winery on January 14th was truly unforgettable, thanks to Ray, who gave us an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, Ray's deep knowledge and passion for wine-making shone through. He took the time to educate us on how Tablas Creek got started, their unique story of importing Rhône cuttings, and the fascinating history and climate of the area that make their wines so special.
What made our visit even more memorable was the personal connection we felt with Ray. As we chatted, we discovered shared experiences of visiting the Rhône Valley in France. It was a pleasure to exchange stories not only about wine but also about teaching and even surfing! Ray's warmth, expertise, and enthusiasm made the day feel personal and enriching.
Tablas Creek is lucky to have someone like Ray representing them, and we feel fortunate to have met him. If you visit, be sure to spend some time learning from him—you won’t regret it. Thank you, Ray, for an incredible experience!
