The Kassi, Melanie and the team at Chicken Shack are awesome. They are very helpful and super friendly. I have to order things a special way and they take care of my needs without hesitation!! Plus they now have beer and wine to go with their scrumptious food and SO MANY sauces to choose from. Everyone needs to eat at The Chicken Shack!

The chicken was over cooked, fries came out ok, but the service was downright rude. I get it, everyone is struggling to hire good people lately. But our server was literally a homeless woman with dreadlocks. If she wasn’t so rude this would be fine, but that wasn’t the case. She was talking extremely fast like she was on drugs, which was extremely obnoxious. And you could tell by her attitude that she wasn’t grateful to be there either. Normally, dreads are fine but it’s a little different when you’re being served food by a person who you know hasn’t washed their hair in months. Not the best look for a restaurant. Honestly this ruined the experience, and sadly the food didn’t make up for it. We will not be back.

Disgusting environment ? Do not eat here. This is the trashiest restaurant in downtown Paso. You’ll get better chicken for a more reasonable price literally anywhere else. One photo shows raw chicken on the ground, I don’t even know what the other photo is. Something on the drain from the soda fountain. This place is so new yet already needs some serious help ?

Lemon pepper wings had no flavor. Fries were super weak. Way too much breading. Macaroni and cheese was super salty and taste like it was out a box. What a waste of meal. Get a new recipe, that ain't it. Original wings were OK. Maybe we got a bad batch idk

The Mac n cheese is inedible because of how salty it is. The chicken wings are basically fried chicken but not even good. I've never had breaded wings and I was very disappointed. And the fries are like strings and taste like butter... I don't want to eat soggy butter strings. Gross. Not recommending to anyone.

We placed an order for Buffalo chicken fries, and 30 minutes later still nothing as the restaurant had 2 people in it. Very sweet cashier but waiting more than a half hour just for one order seems ridiculous. Hopefully they will get more help for better timing.

I tried this place 3 times because I wanted a decent chicken restaurant in Paso. Every time I wasn't impressed. It wasn't that busy when I went there but still had to wait 20-30mins for my food. The chicken tenders I got weren't crispy, it seemed like breading got soggy before I was served and I ate them at the restaurant. I got the chicken fries another time, but they were cold when I got them after waiting 25 mins. I ate those at the restaurant too so not sure what the deal with that was. The sauces are very hit or miss. The fries and the fry sauce are the saviors of the chicken shack.

If I could give zero stars I would. This establishment is disgusting, unhealthy, dangerous and immature. An employee named Gwenevier has threatened my boyfriend multiple times because of past issues (in which he had no involvement) that she has not healed from and has now brought it into the restaurant. She has gotten us "banned" and we are no longer allowed there even though we never caused issues. We also spent a lot of money there lol, so I guess their loss? I have confirmation that she tried to give us food poisoning the last time we ate there. She sent my boyfriend a novel about why he was banned and at the end said "enjoy your food ;)" About 6 hours later, I was in excruciating pain and had a myriad of stomach issues after eating there, so I went to the hospital and the doctors confirmed that there were traces of raw chicken juice in my system. DO NOT EAT HERE

I'll start off by saying very inviting environment. We were greeted and the staff was very awesome and they were able to help us decide on what sauce to put on the wings we ordered. They have it where you can pick songs that play so it's a fun addition to your visit! We of course picked a few songs while we enjoyed our food. This is a good place to bring family, kids, and they also have outdoor seating. Perfect for those summer evenings ! Everyone said the food was pretty good! Sauce was great and wings were pretty big, "gigantic" from what everyone said when they were placed on the table!
