Great friendly spot... Limited menu but the people there are helpful and engaging… food is delicious Abd drinks are delicious… lively local spot

We stopped at The Hatch for dinner on our way to Monterey and had a really nice experience overall. It happened to be fried chicken night, which was a great surprise. The service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting—perfect for a relaxed dinner stop.

The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, and both the Brussels sprouts and the Hatch salad were fresh and tasty. The only slight downside was the salad—it felt a bit overpriced for the portion and what you get.

Overall, it’s a solid spot with good food and a great vibe. We’d happily come back, though I wouldn’t call it a must-visit destination. Definitely a good find for a casual, quality meal on the road.

This was recommended as “the best restaurant in Paso Robles” but our experience was extremely average. The chicken and cornbread were dry. And our service was below average. I try to give servers the benefit of the doubt if they’re having a bad day, but our server was less than attentive and borderline rude.

The staff was so friendly and great service. Great food too. Definitely recommend the meatloaf!

I've always loved eating here, but it had been a while since going, wanted to return. Like in the past, if you have a later reservation, high chance that they'll be out of something. Yesterday, they were out of everything we ordered, minus a salad. I get maybe an item or two, but that many items? What we did order was fine, but the mushrooms weren't quite like I remembered, and was excited about. The drinks on the other hand were fantastic! The cocktails are fun, unique, and flavorful. If anything, you must try one of their beverages! Still think they're great, just disappointed with being unable to order what we wanted..

Cool vide restaurant that we tried for dinner. A good option when visiting downtown Paso Robles. Their staff was great.

I NEVER have left a bad review until tonight. I Ordered the prime rib and it was so rare it was cold. It was supposed to be medium rare like prime rib should be. Server never came by to check on us so I could ask if it could be at least get the chill off it. Absolutely horrible

I don't think I'll be back. I was surprised their signature dish - roast chicken - was absolutely average. Cornbread was great, corn spears were dry, potatoes were decent but could have been finished better. Staff was great.

Suuuuper delicious rotisserie chkn? Also good steak and fries as well.?? The chicken comes with a side of drippings that was quite tasty. All things rotisseried and grilled go well with booze and The Hatch Cocktail list delivers with bourbon based drinks that blend and cut the fatty proteins content quite well. Servers are nice and check-in timely when beverages need refreshing. Definitely book reservations in advance as demand is high. Dinner is dimly lit yet audibly lively. Top pick when looking for American dinner fare in Paso after a day of tastings.

We went for a casual dinner and we had an amazing time. The meal was impeccable and delicious. They offer specials depending on the day of the week. Moreover, the service provided was excellent. From the moment before entering the restaurant until the moment we left, we were treated with genuine kindness and real hospitality. Thanks to all the staff!

Wow! We came for the Rotisserie Chicken and the Shrimp & Grits, but we got the Thursday special, Shepherd's Pie and they had a few orders of Fried Chicken (usually available on Tuesday & Wednesday - both via recommendations from Summer, our server! She was very much on point. The Shepherd's pue was outstanding. I actually saved a piece of the cornbread appitizer and used it with the Shepherd's pie and was blown away with how good it was. My wife had the fried chicken, although I stole a couple bites, and it was easily the best fried chicken either one of us have had before. Service by Summer was outstanding. Parking wasn't too bad. We had a reservation (highly recommend) and got seated right away. The 4 roses old fashioned was very good.
This Michelin star restaurant is a must try.

We were pretty disappointed- this is a solid 3, not worth leaving a CC to reserve a table type of place. The pork belly appetizer was really good, made us excited for our main. The cocktail drink was good, on the sweet side for me but tasty.

The pork shoulder was so greasy it upset my stomach and the side of cream corn was an entire can on the plate. I didn’t finish my meal. My husbands burger was good but wasn’t set apart from any other burger we’ve had. And he had to order a side of fry’s because you can’t replace sides. Why would this place put chips instead of fries along the burger. Just hasn’t lived up to the hype.

We visited on a Tuesday when they fry that incredible chicken. Since we live out of town, we ordered the fried chicken. Two people shared the 1/2 chicken and it was plenty. Great service, lively atmosphere.

Enjoyed dinner here on a busy Wednesday evening last July. Sat at the bar, where we were impressed by the bartender’s ability to keep everyone very happy at peak hours.

We tried the fried chicken special, which was unfortunately underwhelming, though the potatoes were good. It needs less breading and more chicken (maybe bone-in wings would work better?). Then we ordered an espresso martini and were very pleasantly surprised — it was beautiful and tasted as good as any I’ve had.

Hope to be back to try other things on the menu!
