We went for a quick weekend away to Paso Robles and for our last morning before heading home decided to have breakfast downtown. After reading positive reviews, we decided to give Vic’s a try. They were pretty busy so we elected to sit at the counter rather than wait 10-15 minutes for a table. It took quite some time before a server greeted us, which was frustrating as 3 of them walked past us without even glancing our way. When our server arrived and asked to take our drink order, we told him we were ready to place our food order as well.My bf ordered the Larry’s combo with a side of sausage. It was your plain everyday run of the mill diner breakfast meal. I ordered the eggs benedict which came with home fries. The home fries were decent but unfortunately my eggs benedict was a disappointment. The sauce was broken and the yolks of my poached eggs were hard. It was essentially two hard boiled eggs covered in greasy, watery hollandaise, atop a soggy english muffin. Major bummer! Our server was polite though not very attentive, which is most likely due to the fact that they were busy. However it would have been nice if he came by to ask how our meal was. Especially since he passed us repeatedly at the counter. We had to get his attention on one of his passes by to tell him we were ready for the check. When he took our plates, he made no mention to the fact that at least half of my meal was still on the plate and the eggs were cut open exposing the hard yolks. It was a cute, quaint, convenient spot to grab breakfast before heading out. But if we lived locally this definitely wouldn’t be a spot we would visit again.

This one is a downtown favorite, they keep their prices down which brings in a lot of retirees and locals. Good food.

We were looking for an easy inexpensive lunch and saw this place pop up in our search. I'm gluten-free and my husband is vegetarian, so finding easy options is sometimes a challenge. But this place was perfect! I got a patty melt with gluten free bread, and my husband got the veggie pesto melt. He said it's the best veggie melt he's ever had. We were super happy with our meal here!Vegetarian options: Offers vegan patty for all burgers, plus a veggie melt.Dietary restrictions: Has gluten-free buns, bread, and cookies.

Excellent breakfast! It's hard to get safe gluten-free food at restaurants and this place is very careful with their preparation. I really appreciate it, and the Mimosa was awesome! <3Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free

Old fashion looking diner with healthy food great service good seating in a really nice part of town with hog benches outside and flowers. The food was excellent, and very good quality and well priced. One of the best best breakfast places I’ve eaten at in a long time even outside of Paso Robles!

Amazing service and delicious food in a old town cafe atmosphere. If you are deciding between Brunch and Vic's, definitely choose Vic's. So friendly and kind people work there. Bonnie our server was very helpful. My hubby asked for Pico de Gallo ( mexican salsa) with his eggs. ( He loves to eat salsa with his eggs.) Bonnie found out they didn't have any but Alberto, I'm assuming a server or cook, made him some on the fly. They went far and above great service. We definitely recommend this establishment and will come again when we drive by Paso Robles downtown.

This is a diner that can make a few items gluten-free and is very careful not to cross contaminate while doing so. The food is also great.Dietary restrictions: They can make food safe for people with Celiac's.

Excellent service, wonderful food, great hash browns. Wonderful dining experience. Server was very attentive. Again, great hash browns. A simple dish, but not easily perfected, except for Vic’s. Also, a surprisingly good Belgian waffle. And air, very tasty.

The standouts are the sides. The cornbread with honey butter. Two homemade muffins?! I want more cornbread...it was that good. Also I'd throw in that side of waffle - crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. If you order a kids pancake you'll get a surprise creation.
