“Barra Azul was recommended to me and, since I was in the area, I decided to stop by for a late lunch. This is located on Ramona Expressway in Perris, just the far south end of Moreno Valley.I’m so glad we stopped by because our tastebuds were in for a treat. Our server, Claudia, welcomed us in and sat us down with complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was good but had too much heat for me. The tortilla, however, tasted slightly burnt so it was a bit off-putting. Our virgin Pepino con Limón (Cucumber with Lemon) margaritas made its way to the table and it was refreshing and delicious! They have a pretty big menu and I ordered what was recommended to me, as well as what I thought was interesting. Here’s a list of what we ordered:* Poke Nachos - I was confused when this came out thinking it wasn’t my order. I expected a spread of wonton chips with cubes of ahi tuna and the other fixings; instead, to my surprise, it came out as three towers of wonton chip on the bottom, a sriracha-mayo imitation crab mix above that, with avocado, cuts of tuna topped with fried onion crispies and a drizzle of sriracha-mayo and eel sauce. It was delicious!* Surf & Turf Taco - Look no further, this is all you need! Succulent shrimp and flavorful pieces of carne asada topped with crunchy cabbage, and drizzled with a magic sauce! I am salivating just thinking about how unctuous and savory this was! I thought this was the best thing I ordered from Barra Azul! The size of this taco could be entire entree. I shared this with my party and they loved it too!* Fried Fish Taco - Excellent but the tomatoes or the pico de gallo on top had too much heat!* Shrimp Taco - Really good but was overshadowed by the delicious Surf & Turf Taco!* Asada Taco - Again, this was also really good but, because we tried the Surf & Turf Taco first, this just didn’t hit the same way. It was still good on its own but not as great as the S&T Taco.* Pork Belly Sliders - This came as a recommended item but we had no room to devour this. The portions of the previous items were generous enough so this went in to-go containers. This had really great flavor but the pork belly was a bit tough.* Street Style Shrimp Ceviche - This was enjoyed at home since we were full from everything. It came with 4 tostadas, mayo and hot sauce packets. I think it was fine without the packets. The price wasn’t too bad. We paid $85 even for everything before taxes. That’s roughly $20-$30 per person with it without the drinks.Overall, I was impressed with the Surf & Turf Taco. It blew all the other dishes away. The portions were generous as well and our server was kind and knowledgeable. I loved the mural inside the restaurant and the bright open space. I can definitely see my self back here to enjoy round 2 of my favorite S&T Taco - and perhaps another menu item I haven’t tried yet! I recommend Barra Azul if you’re in the area!Dietary restrictions: They have a lot of seafood items so if you have shellfish allergies, be sure to tell your server and avoid ordering items with shellfish.Parking: Parking is shared in a plaza but very limited. Park the first spot you see and walk to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They have items that kids can enjoy tooWheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is very spacious and open, and can easily accommodate those with wheelchair, baby stroller, or walker.“
“Hidden little gem indeed! First off this is inside some type of race track area, but we didn't have to pay for parking since we were going in to eat. I looked at the menu beforehand so that I knew what I was getting in advance because we were going to be on a time crunch. I was going to be going the sampler route for sure. I had a little bit of everything I love. When I tell you, I have never had spinach and cheese dip that tasted the way this one did I am not kidding! And oh my gosh, the southwestern eggrolls, humongous! The tortilla chips were obviously handmade, an extremely crispy and dare I say delicate. The cheese sticks were, well cheese sticks, and I didn't get to try the buffalo wings as my husband ate them all lol I was very pleased with the service, we sat at the bar since we were on a time crunch, and got in and out within an hour. it was a little noisy in there because it is a betting type of restaurant/bar but it was nice! And if you're a betting kind of person, this just might be your spot, you can have some good food and put some money on the ponies! Oh yeah, and there must be like 17 million TVs in there, I mean at least 30!“

“This place is a great hole in the wall Dive style bar that has its own Vibe. Worth visiting, Thursday night was busy, music choices were on point and they straight turn up the volume here to set the tone. Drinks were delicious prices were right and this seemed to really speak to the local vibe of Riverside. Glad my friend made me aware of this sweet spot in a neighbourhood that needs one. Thank you for having us. Cheers.“
“Always great food but the service can vary a lot. My wife is out of town and I went there twice. Thursday night finally got a beer after sitting unattended for about 20 min. Had my beer and unsuccessful attempted to flag a server to pay … finally got up and went to the south side of the bar, told the bar staff that I just wanted to pay my tab, gave him a $100 bill, he gave me change which I counted in my car … $100 in change ?? St Patrick’s day - had their great ahi poke and a beer again after waiting close to 25 min after several flagging attempts were again ignored (do I need a flare gun?). Had my meal and again, caught the attention of a little blond server who looked right at me and walked on by and when she came by again she waved and said “hi” …. Cute. … or should I say “high” because the staff was dancing with each other, five of them having shots and taking selfies all the while ignoring my gestures and hand waving. I’m ok with having fun on the job though the alcohol is probably illegal but ok … so was me leaving in disgust not paying my bill. I’d be glad to make good on the approximately $33 I owe plus tip … If anyone would listen.“
“I'm from the Los Angeles area but I come to Lake Elsinore twice a month to visit my son. After my son and I hang out, I like to stop by this place to wind down. It's a good watering hole. It has two 6 foot pool tables. Friendly service. Clean restrooms. A decent sized parking lot. In my experience, I've never seen this place packed. So, for me, it's a good place for a couple of cold ones.“
“Came here on a fluke since our original plan of going to a brewery didn't work out. Definitely was a great decision to give this place a try. Food was so good. I had Pear Gorgonzola Salad and it was by far probably one of thee best salads I've ever had. Perfectly created and executed. Also, service was pretty good and so was the value. I also enjoyed the live music they had (this was on a Thursday night). Will definitely be back next time in the area.“
“Every time we've been there the food has been delicious, service is friendly and excellent. Big space, never over crowded. If you sit outside they have sports shown on the HUGE screen TVs in the outfield and parking is plentiful. After you're done eating and having a beer or two you can walk it off down a long bank heading to the lake.“
“Got the BLT Wednesday lunch special and really enjoyed it. The French Fries were good as well. A crazy amount of TVs spread throughout which was nice. My server did a great job and the beer I had was on par. Overall, a nice visit.Vegetarian options: YesDietary restrictions: YesParking: Open spotsKid-friendliness: SlightlyWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“I took my mother and niece here over the weekend to grab a late lunch. The food was excellent, the service was kind, the ambiance was entertaining. Good music; you can still hold a conversation and see the sky drivers. We plan to make it a regular event.“
