We love eating at this restaurant when we camp at costanoa. Food is good, drinks were great and the service was good for us. We heard they were short staffed. It is always our favorite place to go for our Anniversary.

Have been coming regularly to Coastanoa for 6+ years, it's one of our happy places. In the past, Cascade was one of the highlights of our stay- loved the food, the cocktails, the staff, ambiance- the whole deal. This time, everything felt off. The bread with artichoke butter was still on point. However, the dinner menu is significantly downsized, they were out of some of the few entrees they did offer, they seemed understaffed, and some of their new food items are not very good (cauliflower and lentils - super bland, grilled fish tacos also not great). They also don't do brunch anymore (can get breakfast for pick up- breakfast sandwich is tasty). I know the restaurant was bought by a new owner, so maybe this is just part of the transition, but I hope Cascade survives the changes and it comes back to a version closer to what we have loved about this spot in the past.

The doors are locked before noon. When they opened, we were seated along with two other tables and then we sat waiting to order for 20 minutes in an empty restaurant with 2 other seated tables with no waitstaff in sight, although we could hear them talking nearby. The entrees arrived before the appetizer we had planned on sharing before our main course. The wine we ordered arrived after that. A child's drink was forgotten, as well as a bowl of chowder. We were chatting and enjoying our wine after having eaten and the waiter approached not once but twice and asked us if we wanted to pay without offering us coffee or dessert. We felt rushed in an empty restaurant at an early lunch. Overall a highly disappointing experience service-wise but the food was tasty.

Having a restaurant on site at the campground is amazing so for that I give it 5 stars! However I rated this as a normal restaurant. Service was good but felt a bit forced politeness. Staff did a good job so they just need to relax and be more natural. Food was cooked well but most felt it was either over sauced or under seasoned. Cocktails were also OK/fine. Everything just seemed out of balance. Overall everything was Fine/Good enough but not memorable. I'd eat there again if camping and just get a burger and wine/beer as those are reliable.

Lovely in every way. Food was yummy. Drinks were fun! Atmosphere was great. People and service was wonderful! 10 thumbs up! (There were 5 of us)

Two of our four dishes were not hot. The food was lukewarm. Second day in a row we came in. Food like mashed potatoes should be hot. They were not hot at all. The fish in the fried fish was not hot. I would expect something like that to be nice and hot. Hot food makes all the difference. You can have the most amazing ingredients but if it's not hot... All the work was for nothing.

The food is fresh and different from your usual dishes. The chef is creative with local ingredients and everything is delicious. The short rib tacos are perfectly seasoned. The steamers are fresh and delicious. The cauliflower and lentil bowl is flavorful and definitely worth a try. The tiramisu is a must!

The new menu is a huge disappointment. We dine here usually once a month, but will be going elsewhere from now on. A real shame, but so it goes I suppose.

They DO NOT have clam chowder on the menu anymore.

Came here reading a review that there is clam chowder, and possibly the best in the area.

They are under new management and the clam chowder is nowhere to be found. Sad.

Giving this rating in the hopes that the new owners bring it back.

Otherwise this place is gorgeous and they staff are warm and kind.

I got tea and walked around with it.

If they bring back the soup they were once known for I’ll change this review.

Before this weekend I would have rated a 4, but this weekend was bad at a 2, so I'm settling for a 3 overall. This was the first time we didn't enjoy our experience. We were seated by the side door next to the stairs. While we were waiting for our food a very busy server told us in passing we need to move our table so he can easily carry the food upstairs. So thinking that staff would move our table we waited, then we had to move our own table. We lifted the table and moved it over along with our chairs. My salad was so drenched in dressing I couldn't eat it. I ordered steak frites with a peppercorn demi. The sauce looked like melted American cheese, was thick and didn't have any peppercorns (not sure what the sauce was). My husband ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and he said it had zero flavor. The bread was good but they pureed artichoke in the butter which made the texture and taste weird. My son at least liked his kids pizza and the fries were good. They were busy but we waited some time for plates to be cleared and were shown a small electronic tablet to sign for our bill. We had to ask if they had a dessert menu. Then we were asked to sign the small tablet where we couldn't review the bill for accuracy. I was really thrown off mostly by having to move our own table. We stay at Costanoa a few times a year and really hope this is not the new norm.

Been going to Cascade for years. It’s under new management and has a new menu. I
had the BEST meal I’ve ever had! I am vegan and they now offer vegan options.
I no longer have to finagle something to eat. And it was GOOD, and filling! Roasted Cauliflower with Lentils with Garlic Tahini Dressing.) My husband had a kale salad with a peanut sauce dressing. He added grilled chicken.

Jim, the bartender, is second to none. A kind, thoughtful and outgoing guy who pays attention to the details. Frankie went out of his way to make an excellent cappuccino while Jim was busy. Luis is the chef that has created a menu which is leveled-up and delicious and Cascade’s pastry chef is excellent! Laurel, the food and beverage manager, is keeping the place running smoothly after the recent ownership transition and continuing to help
make it a draw.

Check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Food we got was just ok , had high hopes but failed to meet the bar .

The quality of food was fair. The pizza was soft and soggy. The artichokes were just ok. The salad and dressing was good. I wouldn't go back

Took us 30 minutes after being seated for a waiter to come take our drink and food order. We weren't in a rush but had to call one over. It seems like they forgot we got seated.
