“Been going here since I was a kid. Might be the only place that hasn't noticeably dropped in quality after all these years. Forever my favorite doughnut shop. Chinese place attached also has some delicious orange chicken and rice. Highly recommend both.”

“We were in town for the weekend and decided to finally try this restaurant. They open for dinner at 5pm, and the setting is unique, the restaurant is housed in what was once a Victorian home, giving it a charming rustic appeal. I’ll admit, the initial smell reminded me a little of an old Las Vegas casino, but don’t let that fool you. This is the only true sit-down restaurant in town, and if you’re looking for a romantic dinner, this is the spot.

We arrived right at opening, and the bar already had regulars enjoying their evening. We were seated in the main dining room, where it was just us, and another party of four. Kara, who greeted us, was bubbly, personable, and welcoming. Our server, Alicia, was equally wonderful. Both ladies were knowledgeable about the menu, quick with recommendations, and incredibly attentive. They had that sixth sense of knowing what we needed before we even had to ask.

We ordered a nice variety to share: the tempura, seasonal fire-roasted artichoke, fried zucchini and squash, spinach salad, Malaysian shrimp, Pacific cod fish & chips, and the top sirloin steak. Honestly, we walked in with zero expectations, but this small-town steakhouse really delivered.

The food was delicious, but the service stood out as truly top notch. Kara and Alicia made the experience memorable, and for that reason alone, we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town.”

$20 for good size brisket with sides. Got broccoli and fruit. They also had French fries, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and pasta salad. Happy hour. U can get domestic beer for $3. Was nice and cold. Hardly anyone there when I went 4pm on a Friday.”

“OMG what an amazing little place first of all I would like to say that the food is delicious I had the patty melt with coleslaw and finished it all. the bartender Melissa is amazing super attentive great conversationalist super friendly I felt right at home dining here. I had two margaritas which I really appreciated that she sampled first to make sure that they were tasty which of course they were they were delicious if you are in town this is the spot to go to if you want good friends good food and a family like vibe!!”

“I’ve purchased on three separate occasions and they are always delicious! One of my orders was for my mom on Mother’s Day and the order was returned to sender as my mom can’t receive mail to her home. I contacted pastreez and they re sent them to my mom via P.O. Box. I also received an order number and tracking number on every order. Anthony is very professional and always responded to my emails in a timely manner, I also met his wife when I made my first purchase when they still had a store in Phelan and you could physically pick up your order instead of by mail only and she was lovely, she even gave me an extra macaron just to try no charge while I waited. I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences with this bakery and I will continue to order from them whenever I’m in need of some delicious macarons.”
