Food was good, just very expensive. Sadly it's not worth the price they charge. They used to have family style sides as a given, but now it's extra if you want it. Huge expense for pretty mid food. There's nothing wrong with it, but you can get better elsewhere for an equivalent or even cheaper price.
That said, I've never had bad service here, and it is fun to see them do the high pours on people. (Especially kids).
Fine dining, country atmosphere, friendly service, quality food with enormous portions, best cuts of meat… we ordered the Ponderosa steak for two and it was cooked perfectly, the largest steak I’ve ever seen and a dining experience for the books!!! We loved the garlic mashed potatoes. Enjoyed the “blind pouring” demonstration. Definitely worth the price ?
Good food. Good service. Husband loves the steak here.
F. McLintocks Saloon and Dining House offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with stunning ocean views and a fun, lively vibe. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing prompt service and happily accommodating requests. The menu features a variety of options, including a generous steak dish that's sure to satisfy. Vegetarian options include delicious corn on the cob with elote and garlic mashed potatoes. A unique touch is the staff's blindfolded water refill challenge, which adds to the restaurant's playful atmosphere. While the food is good, some customers feel it is quite expensive for the quality and portion size. Despite this, many enjoy the friendly service and entertaining “blind pouring” demonstration. The restaurant also offers great happy hour specials with items like ribs, garlic fries, and drinks at affordable prices, making it a lively spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
