Right by the public access and the pier so totally easy to get to definitely worth walking a bit. What a fantastic way to finish a fantastic day by the Ocean. Cool off or just enjoy your dessert.“

Once, I even tried their sugar free ice cream and i didnt want to believe it was sugar free! It tasted so delicious! They are ao incredibly friendly also! He had been looking for a place to replace old doc Bernsteins ice cream and he found it here! Every Thursday night during farmers market, he goes there and gets the black raspberry ice cream. He absolutely loves it! We found out that when they get close to running out of that ice cream, they would save a scoop of it just for my dad. How amazing is it to find service like that. Someone that would go out of their way to save some for a customer.“

“Stopped at SLO Sweets in San Luis Obispo to stock up on chewing gum for our next stop @ Bubblegum Alley. While our party-of-5 browsed the almost overwhelming volume & variety of treats, our co-travelers from the UK were amused by the small selection of items from England. As a cultural exchange, my wife & I treated them to a small variety of sweets & a few bottles of root beer.

The shop was clean & well lit, with attractive product displays from floor to ceiling. The young clerk on duty that Friday evening was very professional. SLO Sweets is a fun place to look around, even if you don't buy an overload of sugary and/or chocolaty stuff. We would return.“

“Wow!!! Frozen dessert heaven!!! Ice cream, popsicles, filled crapes, fruit, hot Cheetos or Tostitos with toppings, shakes, banana splits.. . I am missing some of the choices. There a 42 different flavors. 11 of the flavors are milk free!!! #allergygirl is also allergic to citrus. I ended up getting the only option available today without milk or cItrus. I had pineapple. It was refreshing!! The ice shopped is bright, colorful, so clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.“

“If you are visiting Avila Beach it’s a must to put Hula Hut on your list to stop for a delicious hand scooped ice cream! Your choice of cup, sugar cone, or waffle cone! The line can look long but the scoopers are fast and the wait is short! The store also has a huge variety of fun things to shop for from wind chimes to kitchen towels and much much more! I know the employees there enjoy their job because they are all smiling and laughing as they serve their customers. Highly recommend!!!“
