If you have not had casado, translated as "marriage," it is a typical Costa Rican meal that offers a complete plate. This one started with small bowl of delicious soup and ended with a small bowl of fresh fruit. The plate itself had beans, rice, fried plantains, fried local Turrialba cheese, hearts of palm, and a protein of choice. The stewed beef was incredibly tender and tasty. As with many typico meals, it included fresh fruit juice and the pineapple/guava flavor was delicious. And it was incredibly inexpensive.“
