Amerikan Ichi Sushi

We've had poor experiences here two times before but decided to give it one more shot.

They get 1 star for atmosphere because they were playing Mexican music in a Japanese restaurant. Totally didn't fit.

The service was terrible. Our food took forever to come and they forgot my Mother's order of tempura, so we had to wait longer.

The sushi was good, but the miso soup had white button mushrooms, not shiitake mushrooms. Not good.

Been going to this restaurant for several years, was a great place go. My last visit I spit my food out after the second bite, tasted very off possibly expired fish and under cooked shrimp. The next day I woke up vomiting, and was unable to eat properly for 35 days. I lost 25lbs. Do NOT recommend going here! Also takes over an hour to get your food even when there are only a few tables. Use caution eating at this establishment.

The service is INCREDIBLY slow. It took over two hours to get 2 shooters and 3 rolls which is ridiculous considering it was a slow weekday with barely any tables occupied. while I was waiting for my order, I saw the workers taking shots and talking which is highly unacceptable and unprofessional. I'm all for a positive, fun work environment but that doesn't mean drinking on the clock and chatting while customers are forced to sit and wait. What a shame as i love supporting local businesses. It is a total waste of what could be an excellent restaurant. I advise going elsewhere for your sushi cravings

There were only 4 tables including ours. and it took an hour and 15 minutes until we got the food we ordered dining in. The "chef" was too busy talking and fist bumping his buddies at the bar to do his job. Total disregard for the customers. What a major disappointment.

Vegetarian options: Hard to imagine a sushi restaurant with such an extensive selection of vegetarian dishes. You have to see it to believe it. Bento stops at 3:00 pm

hour to get food, a little backed up they say, our server sucked, only saw her once in the hour we waited, out of soft shell crab, no edamame, fail for Ichi tonight. We will not be back again.

Delicious sushi. Cozy atmosphere in the institution. Very good and friendly staff. When I came to order I was asked to wait another 5 minutes. While I was waiting, they brought me dessert and apologized for having to wait again. That was very nice of them. The dessert was also delicious. I would like to come to this restaurant again.

Worse experience ever! I used to love this place. Food was thrown together, took 40 minutes. Asked the male member of staff for soy sauce, he decided to ogle a female in front of her boyfriend instead. Even when I walked passed him to get what I needed from another area and said, dreadful service he didn’t flinch! Not bothering with place again. Such a shame, it used to be good.

I had an excellent dining experience at Amerikan Ichi in Placerville, CA. This clean and cozy spot serves amazing food with high-quality sushi and fresh ingredients. The customer service was outstanding, making the entire experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch sushi place!… oh, and the Lobster roll, everyone needs to try at least once, so good!
