About Paco's Mexican Cuisine

Paco's Mexican Cuisine, located in both Pollock Pines and Placerville, serves great Mexican food. The restaurant has a fun luchador theme that is understated without being outrageous. The food is yummy, with big portions and great flavor. The complimentary chips n salsa are divinely delicious; the salsa is packed with flavor with a nice thickness, and the chips are crisp and light. A popular dish is the Rojas chicken posole, served in a big bowl with a good broth, shredded cabbage, hominy, and topped with chopped onions, dry oregano, and chopped cilantro with lime wedges. The Carne Asada is a favorite, and the wet burrito is absolutely awesome. Other menu items include al pastor tacos, shrimp tacos, birria tacos, and tacos del norte. The service is super friendly, and the staff does a fantastic job. This location is a sit-down casual restaurant with a bar in the dining room; the atmosphere can get rambunctiously loud. Paco also does a fantastic job catering for events, always going above and beyond.

We ordered a very basic - asada tacos with rice and beans. Complete fail.

Paco's is fantastic! Absolutely phenomenal food and worth every penny! Much better than any other Mexican restaurant in El Dorado County!

Maybe Paco's has changed management, maybe there are challenges I don't understand.... ..but they have COMPLETELY DROPPED THE BALL!

Today's Doordash order included no utensils (I ate with a plastic knife someone was kind enough to give me), I was given a bag of broken tortilla chip shrapnel that was obviously poured out of a package (they used to have quality chips), my refried beans were naked and absent the usual sprinkling of cheese and the $3.75 for a soft drink was...read full review
