We have been here for lunches or brunches over the past few years. Great convenient location and a large dining floor with friendly service. The food is consistently good for diner food. This is not fine dining, but they know their lane. You will get a sufficient amount of food for the price and for me, their biscuits and gravy are very good.

Excellent place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We stopped for brunch on our way to Tahoe. Very quaint interior that makes you feel warm and at home. We had to wait a shortish bit to get seated. The food was good, plentiful in measure and tasty. I only wish we took home one of their pies! Very good place to stop and relax, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're pressed for time.

alfredo pasta was impossibly bland. even a good amount of salt & pepper didn’t help. it tasted like nothing, just plain milk… boyfriend seemed to like his food though. waitress was very nice

While on our way to the Sacramento airport, we stopped into the Buttercup Pantry for breakfast. It is a very charming restaurant with its vintage decor. Our server Krystal, provided exceptional service and she was so friendly. We started off with the giant cinnamon roll, that was so good. I had the Road to Tahoe Breakfast Sandwich. It is an egg sandwich on sourdough bread with bacon, cheese and avocado. I loved this meal. If I didn't live on the East Coast, I would eat at the Buttercup Pantry every week.

Never had a bad experience here. The people are friendly, you get seated quickly, and the food is always delightful. It's a great general stop for the whole family. Not to mention the desserts.
I took my parents for an incredible breakfast while we were in Placerville. The service was beyond all of our expectations. The food was not only good and prepared to our desire, it was very large portions. I will go again and take family and friends at every opportunity.
