Always excellent wines, great people, and always memorable. Nello is wonderful, we're blessed every time we visit with him.

I learned that 99 point wine means nothing. The owner was visibly drunk and running his mouth with inappropriate jokes, innuendos, and even joked about slapping around his elderly disabled wife. Pretty revolting.

What a great stop to add to your list. Nello and his staff were super friendly, nice pours for tasting at a very reasonable price. They offered $5 off the tasting fee if you purchased a bottle, classy touch to their business. They were hosing a private tasting in another room but accommodated our party of 6 without hesitation. The wines were tasty but the Cali Mojo is a really nice spin on sangria with a ginger beer sass. Definitely look for it and give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I came into this place to get a couple glasses of wine, maybe a bottle to share. We walked in, went up to the counter and started looking at the red flight menu. That's all I saw available. I'm more of a white wine drinker. The lady behind the counter carded us immediately and commented on how young I looked. Thanks! Then she left and started talking to someone else. We were very confused as to why she didn't then offer us service? I had questions about which wine she would recommend for me and such! We waited for a bit and I decided to use the restroom since she kept us waiting. When I came back she let me try one of the wines. I asked a question about a different wine and she said she couldn't open that one(I understand), but didn't offer any other info about white wines, etc. I made it pretty clear that I was open to suggestions. She wasn't very helpful and seemed not to care about us in general. We were both put off by our experience. We purchased 2 glasses and sat outside. To top off our experience, my boyfriends Glass had a lipstick stain on it. I wasn't wearing lipstick that day. Lol. We decided not to mention it because we had enough of that lady. We went to the winery behind this building and they offered us great customer service! They also have a large patio area. Hopefully you have a better experience at Nello Olivo!

Last night I had the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in my life …by the owners son that was working at the bar! Terribly condescending i was so embarrassed. I was practically in tears.I stood patiently waiting for about 20 minutes while he waited on a couple that had been ahead of me, they were choosing different bottles of wine, etc. Never once did he look over at me or say, I’ll be right with you. No acknowledgment whatsoever. I wanted to purchase a Calimojo and head back outside to hang out with my family I’d met there for music, as it was nearing the end of Shirl-Jams performance. She is so much fun!The couple started walking away from the bar/counter and I commented that by the woman’s generous wine pour, you could tell we were not in Napa Valley. Instead of turning to ask if I’d like something, he continued to talk with them. I tapped on the bar and looked at him and said I’d like to order something, and apologized to the previous customers for interrupting and said that I wanted to get a quick drink and head back outside and spend some time with my family. He looked me in the eyes, not friendly in the least, and said, “Don’t you ever do that to me again!” I didn’t know what he was talking about and I asked him. He said, “don’t you ever tap on the counter like that to me.” I was so taken aback. I mentioned that he had not acknowledged me the entire time I was standing there waiting. The next comment out of his mouth was the worst. I thought he was kidding at first. Chris said, “ “oh, did I hurt your feelings? Did I not acknowledge you?”, with the most condescending tone in his voice, and this frightening look on his face that really surprised me. I said, “What did you say to me?” And he repeated it! I told him this is the worst customer service, and I asked to speak to the manager. I was so humiliated as there was another woman that had been waiting. I looked at her, and she herself looked pretty shocked at his behavior. I then asked to speak to the manager and he said, “I am the manager.” I asked him if he was the owner and he said he was the owners son.I told him that I was with my sister and brother-in-law that are wine club members and I just wanted to buy a Calimojo. He then told me we don’t have any. We were busy today. And also commented that he had been working for 24 hours. Wow. There were other snide comments too that I don’t even recall, I was so shocked.Tell me your troubles dude. He’s a jerk. So, after all that time, I didn’t get the drink I’d come to buy and was now very upset. I turned and left and went back out to my family. Ended up going to Highway 50 brewery to get a beverage. They are awesome!I’ve been to this place a few times because it’s next to Highway 50 Brewery where I have frequented for music, etc.since they’ve opened. I live between Napa and Pollock Pines, and my sister and brother-in-law live in Placerville, I was considering becoming a wine club member since they are and have enjoyed it. That will NOT be happening, I Will not recommend this place, and I will never step foot in Nello Olive Winery!I live in Sly Park Hills in Pollock Pines which is not too far, and I will be sharing my experience with my neighbors and friends. There are plenty of other wineries in the area and this place does well, in spite of Chris, because of the location.I can honestly say this was the worst customer experience of my life!!Just terrible.I did want to mention that when I came out to the table and told my family about my experience, my brother-in-law Dominic who knows Chris, told me that Chris had a REALLY bad hangover. Excuse for bad treatment to customers??! NO!!So part of his working the last 24 hours at the weekend event … I guess included drinking on the job? Good one Chris! That’s professional too.

From start to finish, our experience was amazing! Debi, the manager, was so kind and helpful. She saw my vision for my daughter's bridal shower and made it happen. The wine cave was stunning. What a beautiful venue! Shelley was a fantastic host. She took care of all our needs and was so sweet, kind, and patient. Nello came by to greet us. He was so charming and a great host! I highly recommend this winery tasting room and special event venue

Delicious wines and wonderful staff! The Sagrantino is my fave red and the Bianconello is my fave white wine.

Fun atmosphere and good wines in a historic mansion. The tasting room is in the cellar of the mansion. Tasting is $10 for a huge tasting of reds and whites. Wide variety of wines. There's really something for every type of wine drinker. I really liked their Zinfandel here. Friendly service in a fun space!

I really wanted to like their wines. We got 2 different flights and had 8 wines (2 repeated). The only one I enjoyed was the Port. I've never left most of the tasting behind. Especially since they're small. But we couldn't finish them. Plus the glasses are too small to swirl and let the wine open up. Not a fan. Nice people. Cute store. Lovely view. Distinct wine.

Very cute winery, I always see weddings and events going on here. The seller is located below the building and it has a beautiful rustic vibe. It's always decorated so beautifully, especially around the holidays. The person pouring is really knowledgeable about all the wines and is really friendly, they always give us a really deep insight on each bottle. There is a beautiful room in the back where you can sit and enjoy your tastings, which is what we did! Always a repeat stop on my winetasting tour in Placerville :)

Stopped by this Winery with a friend to pick up her wine club purchase and ended up staying for hours. Jim is the best! He helped us with a flight tasting and we ended up staying and purchasing a bottle and enjoying his company and knowledge!! We made friends as patrons continued to trickle in Throughout the day! We've had so much fun and I would 100% recommend everyone to stop by and enjoy not only the delicious, wonderful wine but also the wonderful company! Thank you for a fun and wonderful day! Thank you, Jim for the hospitality!

? OMG ?! We had the best wine tasting ? experience I have ever had! We did the private wine & charcuterie board ? tasting at Nello Olivo with Nello!!! He was amazing. He did poetry that brought me to tears ?, shared amazing stories....of course wine ?...and the lemonnello....not to be confused with limoncello is to die for ?!!!What I also love is his giving ❤. We originally met Nello at the Hands4Hope Night at the Vineyard event in 2019 where we become club members and purchased the tickets for this event. He donated his time and wine then and for sure got it back 10 fold today for the amount if wine we bought ??.
