This place is great. Wonderful people, delicious food and closest sushi to Pollock so the convenience is awesome too. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and even give my children little toys and candy when we come in. My only negative experience here is that my husband is a recovering alcoholic and has told them that he no longer drinks, but every time he comes in they still offer him saki. Every time! Even rushed out of the sushi place yesterday saying he forgot his shot and brought it out to him when he was leaving with my daughter. So frustrating! I understand it is a nice gesture on their part, but it is extremely damaging on my end. If he has already told them, they shouldn't forget that sort of thing bc one little slip up could be detrimental for our family. Everything else is great! Just wish they wouldn't influence the alcohol so much. If people don't order it, DON'T PUSH IT ON THEM.

How an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant came to be right on the edge of Hwy 50 in Polock Pines California is a mystery. But the food was excellent, plentiful, affordable, and well presented on an outside deck overlooking a misty Sierra valley. I'll be back, you should go too.

My son and I were the only diners on a weekday at lunch. But...the service was good, and the food was fantastic! I plan to visit again.

We stumbled across this amazing sushi joint after apple hill and this place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The sushi is GREAT, the view is gorgeous, and we witnessed the employees go out of their way multiple times with different guest to celebrate them. I would drive from Reno to this restaurant any day! I will for sure be back ❤️! It feel good to spend your money in a place where people love what they do

The best sushi places I've ever been too!! Very friendly and family oriented. If I could give them more stars I would ??

Kid-friendliness: Gave kids soup and treats after they ate.

Sadly this place didn’t live up to the pretty high ratings and good reviews. Maybe it’s the best in the placeville area, but if you’ve had good raw fish, you’d have questioned eating here (as I did)

Certainly can find much better sushi in Sacramento area. This restaurant seems to be family owned, no complaints about service. Portions were actually pretty good. But the food just wasn’t. Tried the California and spicy tuna and wouldn’t recommend either. Maybe their cooked items are better. Maybe you just need to get the “fancier” rolls? But I preferred to try simpler rolls and some nigiri so I could taste whether the fish was actually fresh without hiding in sauces.
