West Coast Sourdough - Placerville

Edit: this order was placed through Sourdough’s app. I called the number from the app to try to fix the problem. I never placed the order through DoorDash, don’t have a DoorDash account. So I am still out the money for my order and received no food.

Ordered delivery for a coworker and myself who were stuck at work, working doubles. When the delivery came it only had her food and not mine. Called and they said they see it was shorted and they were sorry and I could come by and pick it up, I said I am stuck at work and can’t leave. She again apologized. I asked her to please refund the items I did not receive and she said she couldn’t. So now I’m not only stuck working 6 more hours without food, but I can’t get me money back. Very poor customer service. This was my first time getting food from here and it came highly recommended, but I won’t ever know because I won’t be back due to the customer service.

This store is consistent about one thing—forgetting items in my orders! Tonight it was the bread that accompanies my salad! Disappointed!!

My family and I have been here many times and every time has been good, if not, great. I appreciate the owner’s kindness and how he trains the employees to also have good customer service. The tomato bisque is incredible and the French dip is delish!

Overall one of the best interactions I have had while working in the areas store staff is friendly and will give you honest recommendations on the food. I have trusted each recommendation thus far and have been floored each time! Also lemon cookie is a win!

Cold soup. Explained soup was cold and manager spoke rudely to employee telling her I told you that you have heat it. No apologies to me for having to wait 10 minutes for soup to be warmed.

Excellent customer service. Truly grateful to this team. They jumped in to action immediately when I came to pick up 15 sandwiches and realized I placed the order for the wrong date. They had everything ready in 10 minutes. And, of course, their sandwiches are delicious!

On our way back home from a long weekend we stopped to have lunch. Customer service was 10/10, Fresh bread made our Sandwiches extra yummy.I have to say that this location is kept up with cleanliness. Thank you for such great experience.

Went in at 6:00 on a Sunday night and the kid behind the counter told us he was closing early (usual close time is 7pm). We went to Chipotle and when we came back to our car, there were people in there being served. So much for closing early…

First of all, if you want amazing service, this is the place to go!!

I had a nasty cold/flu earlier this year, and ordered soup through Door Dash. The Dasher messed up and never picked up my food, despite multiple attempts to request a pick up, and conversations with the staff. Being sick, and at work, I gave up having lunch that day so went for my break to nap. Imagine my surprise when an employee from the restaurant delivered my soup to my work because I was sick!!!

I used to eat at Sourdough & Co, and wasn't sure if there was a difference. However, I noticed their bread is so much fresher and tastes better!

All in all, I will be a lifelong customer based on the care given when i was sick and the high quality food.

My boyfriend and our kids went to West Coast Sourdough today and ordered a total of four sandwiches, one of which was a grilled cheese. They received the order, had forgotten to make the French dip (even though it was on the receipt which had been sadly thrown out), the mac n cheese, and the grilled cheese wasn't even a grilled cheese. It was bread and slices of cheese. The wait was far too long for such below par service. My family reordered the French dip and mac n cheese (hadn't seen the state of the grilled cheese at this point) at which point we received the French dip but again, no Mac and Cheese. I don't mean to sound so upset but I'm ill at home with a migraine and I was genuinely looking forward to having that mac and cheese and my daughter was really excited for the grilled cheese.

The most amazing sourdough bread ever they sell love better partially cooked and you can take them home and finish them off. AMAZING!!!
