We had the most wonderful experience at Spice Kitchen in Placerville! My husband ordered the Chicken Curry and I had the Lamb Korma — and both dishes were made to absolute perfection. The flavors were rich, authentic, and beautifully balanced. I love my food spicy, and the Lamb Korma was perfectly seasoned for me — full of warmth and depth — yet mild enough that my husband enjoyed every bite as well. That’s not an easy balance to strike! What truly makes this place special is the charming, quirky setup. The outdoor seating area is connected to a convenience store that offers local wines and an excellent selection of craft beers — such a fun and unexpected touch. The patio itself is incredibly inviting, complete with chandeliers and a rolling water fountain. It’s one of those places you simply have to see to appreciate. Even better, the convenience store clerk doubled as an excellent, classy waiter. The service was attentive, warm, and professional — completely unexpected in the best possible way. To top it off, the chef came out personally to greet us, and we were able to thank him ourselves for such an outstanding meal. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. The reason we originally stopped in was because I’m scouting a fourth pit-stop location for my Mustang Car Club poker run in June. After this visit, I can confidently say — if they’ll have us — we will absolutely be stopping here. Great food, unique atmosphere, and a memorable experience all around. Highly recommend!

I have driven by this place for years and heard great reviews so tonight was the night! I loved the outdoor patio with cute little chandeliers, a fountain and pleasant music. The food was delicious!! The tiki masala and Adoo ghobi and coconut shrimp!! The food came out quickly and we devoured it!! Spicy, rich, flavorful, fresh!

This will definitely be in our rotation of our favorite restaurants!!

Decent indian restaurant in placerville. Small menu. No tofu and few vegan options. Prices are decent, rice is included. Seating is patio only so be cautious when it's cold outside.

Love this place so much. We live up the street and besides the delicious Indian food, we can get literally anything we need at the mini market. The owners and staff are so friendly and the outdoor seating is really nice to sit at. We always order the butter chicken, garlic naan and butter samosas. Our children who are one and two years old, love the samosas and the mango lassi.

Genuine, delicious Indian food discovery. We stumbled across this gem of a restaurant in Placerville - attached to a convenience store. The cutest little porch area, and friendly staff. We had the Saag Paneer, which was so rich with spinach and delectable spices - the eggplant curry (my favorite of the night), and another tomato curry dish that was to die for. We will definitely be coming back and bringing other people who have not discovered the gem! So happy to have a brilliant Indian restaurant in the area.

Worst Biryani in the United States of America they don’t serve Biryani. They just serve fried rice and they call it as a Biryani. Please do not get cheated just by saying the name of it. And it’s too expensive.
