We stopped for breakfast during our travels through the area. The diner is right of the highway so easy in and out with plenty of parking. It has a 50’s theme interior, think Mels’ from American Graffiti. We enjoyed our server, very prompt and personable. I had their homemade corned beef - So Good! My husband had the San Francisco Scramble which he enjoyed with their in house potatoes which he raved about. Mes’ was a nice place to stop for breakfast. We would eat here again.
Gorgeous view of the hills. Really friendly and attentive service. Food was a bit salty but overall everything was delicious. Coffee was great and server was generous with the water servings.

If you love 60's hamburger drive ins, this is it!! The Mel's burger is the best burger in town! A great place to eat. It is just like in the movie American Graffiti. Pics of George Lucas adorn the walls. A real cruising strip just outside the front door.
You must play Sixteen Candles, by the Crests, on a mini juke box, on every table. Just like in the movie. It really sets the mood. If not the entire...
