My wife and I went here with a couple who live in Pleasant Hills. Can’t remember what everyone had but I had sesame chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. We all had hot tea. I often order sesame chicken when trying a new (to me) Chinese restaurant as I have this often (or Hunan beef, Kung Pao beef/shrimp) and this gives me a basis for comparison. The sesame chicken was good. Service was good. I will probably go back when I am in the area.

Our first time at Mings. Service was great. Food not the best but okay, reasonable price. Wasn’t feeling very well today so I ended up not finishing my food so I asked for a to-go box but the server said they’ll wrap it for me, which I thought was very nice of them to do it. Went home and few hours later opened wanting to finish it. Rice and chow mein was there but the shrimp!!! It only contained 3 pcs of shrimp which was not the amount I left on my plate. If I only had 3 pcs left on my plate I would have just ate it at the restaurant, so for sure it was supposed to be more lol. Just a very weird experience, Idk what happened there. Not coming back to this place again.

I've been coming for lunch here often. I'm not sure what happened on this visit, but the food was very mediocre to bad. Ordered shredded pork with string beans, which is usually very good. This time the pork was off with some pieces having a freezer burn type taste. Hopefully it was just an off day and all will be good next time. One can hope.

Sept 21, 2025 - PM - The place is clean, cozy, makes you feel like home. Nice staff. Plenty free parking, safe neighborhood. Food was good with the exception of the onions. I actually like onions but the taste was too strong ( a first in my life) due to the cut in big chunks and not being cooked ( it felt as raw as in a salad) - I had 3 dishes, the bad one was the cashew chicken. At home I still had the taste of onions and some of it remained even after I brushed…Except the onions, the food was great.

Love this place!! Great food and great value . Been coming in for the lunch special for 15 years. Very friendly staff, so cool to talk to the owner . So friendly and always stops by my table. Food is pretty standard American Chinese, they will make things healthier if you request. Just all around the best Chinese food spot in the area

I paid over $90 for couple plates, I think a little over price but maybe because the location, portions are good, food was ok but need more taste, I’m guessing they making the food to fast and they not taking care the quality, the restaurant was not full. Definitely not coming back. I have no pictures of the food because I was thinking I’m having a good meal and not care of how it looks.

We had take-out. Ordered broccoli beef, prawns and snow peas, spicy garlic chicken. Broccoli beef: the vegetables were mushy. For some reason a plethora of mushrooms. Probably to cover up for the lack of beef. Also beef seemed processed. Wierd texture. All pieces the same dice and shape—rectangle. Spicy garlic chicken: mushy vegetables. Not spicy or garlicky at all. Prawns and snow peas: the peas were mushy, almost falling apart. The veggies in sll 3 dishes were gross and we didnt finish them. And we love veggies. Not coming back.
